Equal drivers at the same track in the same conditions, an '03-'04 Cobra will run a few tenths quicker than an LS1 F-body. The only thing that would make it a "drivers race" would be because of the Cobra driver.

Finaly got a chance to run the 05 GTO, heres a video of it. btw, the GTO guy backed off the gas before we got to the 1/4 mile spot. he was loosing and couldnt hang so he back off the gas, thats why the gto doesnt sound like he's engine is under load. we raced 3 times with the same out come. i also raced a S R T magnum. ill have better video of it from a dig next week, my buddy was too far away to get it from a dig.

I agree a 05 GT would be a good run for a LT1. An 03-04 Cobra is slightly faster than a 98-02 LS1. Now lets use a car of the same year. 03-04 Cobra will have a bad day with a 03-04 ZO6! (LS6)

Seriously? Cobra vs. a Z06? . In that case, let's compare an '04 GTO to an '04 Mach 1
