Killed I just got my ls1 camaro, i have all the usual bolt ons, headers, stp, gears, blah ....i also have a magnuson blower @ 8.5psi, ive been street racing quite a bit lately, and it seemed like this car was unbeatable by about anything i would ever see...most of my races were with mustangs of course, and other camaros, i had never lost... i live in bowling green ky by the way, the corvette capitol of course, but evidently the mustang capital too, there everywhere, maybe because pro 5.0 fun ford wkend is the biggest show in town a year...I had never been beat my a mustang til today and i got wasted by 3...... here we go, i was coming back into town on I-64, when i noticed 3 old mustangs ahead of me, fox bodys, or the old 5.0 stangs...****, you know, we got off on the same exit, they all pulled into the gas station, so i followed. They were 3 stang buddys, we got to talking, they looked at my car, and said it was nice, i looked at theres and somehow we got to talking about running them.......the first car i ran was the slowest one, it was one of those with a trunk, the car had a N/A 302 with H/C/I and a 5 speed, no n2O that i knew of, we ran on i-64, came to a complete stop, 3 horn honks, the stang pulled me like 4 cars before i was in 3rd, i figured it was a hook issue cause i did spin real bad...so i caught up and we did a 55mph roll, somehow he walked me easy, the second and third came up and ran me after that, one had a blower for sure, LOUD, i got absolutely ate....... how in the FU*k did that **** happen?????? theres just no way.... what the hell, THOUGHTS????????????????

5.0s happen to be one of the most easily modded mustangs - and probably the most commonly modded muscle car period (i would say civics, but ****). There's a bunch of stock ones out there, but theres a **** ton of heavily modded ones too. Some can roll out for sure.

to make you feel a little better, honestly, theres more 11sec and under fox bodys than any other car on the street for sure... it just dosent take much, or cost much to get them there.... you'll get there though man, more BOOST... at least you didnt get killed by a piece of **** freak rice car

man, i know you guys are L-serious genius's, but seriously, an average full weight fox with h/c/i, 5-speed, and good tire and suspension will rip 12.20s all day with ease granny shifting, look it up

An old worn out 5.0 thats 20 years old may need a 150 to hang with a stocker, but a fresh h/c/i 302 with traction is an easy low 12 car, look it up man, add a 150 shot to that, your runnin low-mid 11s...
