If you listen to certain ppl on certain boards, they'd have you believe that the new Z's are a real threat to the LS1 F-bod. I'm still having a hard time swallowing that one.....especially since so few of these new 350s have run those low 13 times supposedly bone stock. Seems like just a handful of guys have managed it. That doesn't automatically qualify all HR 350s as "LS1 killas".

the 07's i belive are clocking in some mid low 13.5 to 13.3 times i belive.. though who knows how stock they really are when they run them. so that sounds about right to be 2-3 cars back. love the look of those cars. and they do have some good topend. part of which is those cars have phenomenal aerodynamics.

and i do agree with blood. majority of the time they still seem to be a mid/HIGH 13 second car.

What's really interesting is that turbonetics sells a kit for 5g and puts them in the 450hp range. Everything else stock. A set of dr's and that kit.......could see high 11's..............looking completely stock.

Yeah sorry i meant an LS1 F-Body not a GTO. I dunno i think that if i were to pull up to one, i wouldn't be worrying too much. Is there any way to tell by looking at a 350Z if it's on 07? As far as I know, there isn't a difference cosmetically but i may be wrong...

I recently played with one of those 350s and from a dig i put about 3 to 4 cars. From a roll about 2 bus lengths...in my SRT8 Magnum. I guess it was not a 07 model though.

Which goes to show how hard it is to tell what car has what mods big time. 5 grand is a lot of money. You can more or less build most typical hi-po street car engines for that.

Never said they were "LS1 killas," but put one of your average drivers in a Z28/Trans Am vs. a driver of an '07 350Z 6spd who knows what he's doing, and that F-body driver would get a big surprise. They might not be equals, but they aren't really something to be taken lightly.

I know no one here branded them as "LS1 killas"....but there are some ppl on other boards who think that, just because one or two bone stock HR 350Z's went 13.1 and 13.2, then that makes the new Z's even competition for an LS1 F-bod. A driver's race, sure......that could be argued. But then again, a Z06 vs. a Cobalt SS could be a driver's race if the Z06 driver is a retard and the SS driver is a pro.

Given decent drivers (not godly ones) I say the new 350Zs are on par with an S197 GT....still a bit behind an LS1 F-bod and a Mach 1.......talking stock to stock, of course.

The 07 350z's are still running high 13's/low 14's with the average driver.

The 13.1 @ 107 sounds like either a factory freak or the car was modded and the driver was trying to hide it.

Its the same damn rough-around-the-edges, garbage compactor exhaust note VQ from 06, just with a few minor upgrades.

Another useless obviously-biased spiel from ONEDUMBASSWS6, based on his extensive knowledge of 350Zs . What makes you think a 280-290rwhp 3400lb car with good gearing can't run low 13s and trap 105mph+? Well, besides your hate for anything not made by GM, of course.

So because my post was truthful and based on my own experience, it was "useless" and "Biased".

You are worthless, and for the record, you don't "run elevens" you piece of ****. All yo do is try and start trouble, go the **** away.

First off, how many 2007 350Zs have you even SEEN, let alone seen at the track? How many times have you BEEN to the track? All you do is spout **** off about your hatred for imports, and it does nothing but make people hate you and get you banned. Over and over. I made this name (for the 2436534632th time) when I had my motorcycle, and please show me where I "try and start trouble?"

I make a post and you immediately respond, calling me out on my opinion or just plain calling bullshit for arguements sake. You're a troublemaker, you know it, ad nobody wants to listen to you bitch about how much you don't like me - so take some good advice, and shut the **** up already.

I've seen plenty of cars at the dragstrip that don't run anywhere near their potential... doesn't mean the cars aren't capable. And you rarely say anything intelligent; it's usually something like "piece of **** import," or "dumb ricer," or something to that accord. So I'm just gonna sit back and let you make an idiot of yourself, and wait till you get banned again. Have a nice day

Good. With the stupid comments and fights you start, you should be the one getting banned first. Have a shitty day, *******.
