I've seen this 350z as well, it's certainly a lot faster than the usual 350z. However, it has no mods, at all. Everyone thought he was spraying it, but there's no bottle to be found lol.

One way to tell the new Z to the old ones is the '07+ 350Z's have a hood bulge. Plus don't get me wrong I never said the new Z is faster than a LS1 F-bod I just know not to underestimate them. I'm also well aware of the weight and performance difference between a LS1 GTO and LS1 F-bod. The guy I was responding to said NO LS1 should have a problem with the new Z's

My buddies girl friend has an 07 350Z and she took me for a ride. My thoughts: very sporty cockpit.... almost jet fighter-ish, good view of the road, good handleing car, very comfortable, no storage what so ever, and it WAS NOT fast. Maybe because I'm comparing it to my cammed LS1, but it seemed like it did o.k. in 1st and 2nd gear but it felt like it was falling off quickly after that.

Can anyone produce a 1/4mile slip for an 07 350z? I have a hard time believing that they can even pull below 13.5, I saw one at NE dragway last summer best he managed was a 14.1 i think it was an 06 though, and he missed a few shifts. An obvious novice

So if an '06 missing shifts runs a 14.1, what makes it so hard to believe that an '07 with a good driver can't run below 13.5?

No more worthless than anything anybody says on these forums... it says "all times verified," so I'm taking it they all have timeslips, and some probably have video proof. Not too hard to believe though. 3400lb car with good gearing, good aerodynamics, 280-290rwhp.

So they went from 230WHP to 290WHP with a few minor changes to the engine?? Right...

Ok, from what I've seen they're between 260-270rwhp for the '07s. Which is still more than enough to run low 13s @ 105mph+.

Hahaha, I knew my post would start crap. And I didn't even mean what I said, just wanted to see where you guys would take it. I'm glad I did because these threads are hilarious. They start off with technical information presented for both sides, some factual and some total BS, and then end with "Well you're a stupid face", "Nuh uh", "Yuh huh", "NUH UH", "YUH HUH".

If I got beat by 2 car lengths from 40-120, I would never tell someone that it was a close race.

Of course it didn't make similar POWER, but it looked very consistent and appears appreciably quick.

And that said, while 2 lengths from 40-120 isn't exactly a beating, I definitely wouldn't call it close. If it was half a car, or even one car, maybe, but 2 lengths is pretty definitive.

Like I said, it wasn't a massacre or anything, but I just don't think it's that close. It's a good enough lead so that I doubt you would have a different winner after 5-10 or so races unless one of the drivers missed a shift. Not a bad kill, but good enough to convince me.
