wrx wagon vs lt1 cruising home, i pulled up next too a modded wrx wagon, as soon as he saw me he rev and took off, i didn't bite but looked and listened to his car take off, loud *** exhaust, so i catch up and wait for a straightaway, he lines up from 65 and i'm in third gear, we punch and i put four cars on him before going to fourth. i just stopped thinking he misshifted or something, well he rolls up and yells "I only got 4 cyclinders!" gave me a thumbs up and kept moving. i thought they were faster then that.

I had the same thing happen to me once, yellow wrx with a big ol can, I thought to myself.. "Now, this could have some potential." Pounded him insanely hard, and then he pulled up to me and said that he lost because his car was an automatic.

Non sti wrx without mods = slow.
Co-worker has a 02 wrx wagon with a couple mods. His words when he rode in my car when stock "holy **** this thing is way faster than mine" "if felt like your car could go 200!!!"
1st gear and dirt roads are fun though. He has a 3/4 mile dirt driveway that he practically races on everyday. He'd pwn me there.

whats funny is, theres a fat country boy that drives a modded one around my area wearing a cowboy hat, and he always eyeballing my car when i see him its pretty funny because it just don't look right, and he can't be thinking its fast.

That WRX traps low 90's. From a roll he's done for the ONLY shot it has is from a dig and you'll be running up on him hard on the backhalf of the race. I have a Legacy GT as my daily driver it basically has the STI motor with smaller turbo I ran a 14.0@98mph in stock trim. Downpipe,larger intercooler,ECU reflash netted me a 12.80@107 so beware these do respond well to mods. Dont forget this is an AWD sedan so it will run a 12.80 at the track and a 12.85 on blacktop sitting at a streetlight

nice kill...my friend got an 04 wrx n when i first took him in my stock 01 z28 he was like wow! thing is dam fast for stock...would def kill mine. so of course i was all happy n cocky so kept giving him **** n trying to get him to race me. 
i finally convinced him. did a 30mph roll killed him. then did it from a dig n he had me off the line but then i crapped on him haha. so yea both are stock manuals with exhaust only.
