Was it a convertible? Was it automatic? Cuz if so the automatics can be dealt with, especially if it was an automatic convertible. Even the M6's can be had if you can drive.

I have pulled quite a few stock 'vettes, or what I presume to be stock.
For the majority, they were auto-convertibles, a few were 6spd 'verts too. I also raced a 6spd FRC, and I dont know what his deal was, but he REALLY couldn't drive, haha.

I had an M6 C5 pull about 1 car length on me from 30-100 or so. From the sound of his car he knew how to drive it, and I wouldnt consider myself a slouch (unless I'm launching the car 
)
