little update, me and my buddy had some more fun last night as now i have the DRs on, we went from a dig and he fell behind mid 2nd gear and just couldnt hang with me now that i have 305 nitto 555r on the back. we decided to spice it up a bit as i told him he needs to try a car with real power and switched cars for a run. we did 50-120, and my poor trans am lost cause of his granny shifting LOL. his car has some ***** when i actually drove it, but def wont hang with me in my car.

LOL not even close! An STI with the basic stage-2 upgrades consisting of a downpipe swap ,catback and ECU tune will make 300-315 to the wheels and run 12.5's STOCK turbo and fuel system. Visit the NASIOC forums these numbers I post are all the norm for these cars.

This guy sounds like one of my friends.
He has a 53 Ford F100 that we have completely restored. It's a great looking truck and a decent hotrod. It has a 4 link and 4.11's in it and he keeps saying stoplight to stoplight he is gonna kill me (he's seen my traction issues first hand).
So I hopped on the internetz and busted his bubble. The 400 modified in his truck has 32cc dished pistons and like 7.8:1 compression. They came from the factory with 158hp. I think he started crying.
I told him to put a 408 with an APS kit in it and be done.
I came across an STI about 2 years ago in Atlanta that literally shook the ground when the guy did a rolling burnout (in awd...). The BOV sounded like a jet taking off. I would not mess with some of them. And out of all the import cars I would take an STI without the park bench over any of them.

A downpipe, catback, and tune aren't going to boost the car up by 80WHP. Not in the real world at least.

my buddy did a lil better then that but not much =X
that guy was def shifting way too soon, he wasnt even fully spooling the turbo in that sti you can hear it in the BOV. my buddies when shifting at 6200 is obnoxiously loud
