Default 01 WS6 vs 06 STI

We will start with me and my good friend have had a heated debate for a few yrs that his dream car the 06 sti will kill my 01 trans am(all bolt ons) vs his Stock 06 STI, well on sat he picked it up and we had to settle some street beef. We did a total of 4 runs, first run was from a 50 mph roll, he hung with me threw 3rd but when i hit 4th he became very small in my mirror and claims he missed 4th. So ill buy it and run again same roll, again 4th gear i put busses on him and he had no excuse other then he can take me from a dig. so we ran it from a dig, he got me until i hit 3rd gear and had traction when i pulled up on his fender waved to him and put about 5-6 cars on him.( i should have a video but my girl said she couldnt record it because first hes next to me and if she blinks hes behind us so w/e, i need a new camera man) next pull was from 70-130. yet again i put busses on him and he claims he messed up shifting. ill buy the shifting thing as he just got the car but he has no chance no matter which way he slices it just figured i would share cause it was a blast

Nice kills. Obviously he's not too shabby of a driver if he had you until third from the dig.

See that would be a decent race stock vs stock... but I have no idea why he would talk so much **** knowing u have bolt-ons... then again what else are friends for? haha.

A good place to mess with STi's/EVO's is on the highway.
AWD kills'em up top.

I had an STI once and I raced a modded WS6. The WS6 was REALLY loud. Anyway..We pull on the interstate and I hear it take off...I start pulling around it at about 75 and look over at the driver. Turns out it was a 50ish woman...NOT racing me at all. Just had a really loud exhaust. SHe didn't even look over at me because she didn't even know I was racing. Talk aboue me being the dork ricer for the day.

It was an STI, not a regular WRX, which means 300hp. They won't hang with a bolt-on LS1 from a roll, but they're no slouch, especially with the AWD from a dig.

Nice kill, OP.

Lol stock STi vs bolt on Ls1 no way in hell it's going to hang. Sounds like your friend is a pretty good driver to stay with you like he did. Nice kill, he's going to have to get at least fuel system and turbo upgrade to make it interesting in the future.

^ Heard you traded your STI for CDT. Do you hate yourself yet? I know I did after a similar move. It took a little while though. Traded the scooby for the hemi, the mpg's sucked and it was slow, bought the WS

Yup I traded it, I don't get too attached to vehicles; what vehicle I get depends on my current needs. At the time I wanted an AWD car that could make it up my driveway and be made decently fast: the STi did awesome. Now I need a vehicle that can tow and the Deisel does that with decent mileage. In fact when not towing it gets the same mpg as the STi lol. It's defintaly not fast, but from what I hear that can be changed with something called Bully Dog, and propane injection?

I had a little something left for that Subaru too. That's alright I'll have to find somebody else to beat up on. Yeah those diesels can be made fast too. Can't wait to see what you got planned for it.
^ see sig for what I had planned.

^ yeah we'll have to run the truck after I get the spray in there. Should be a good run. It'll take me a couple weeks to get it on there but we'll have a little meeting when I get it on there.

I think you misunderstood...

I'm talking Wheel HP, not at the crank. STI's only put down about 230HP at the wheels due to the AWD drivetrain losses. The regular WRX puts down somewhere around 175WHP.
