I was sitting at a light and a guy in an SUV pulled up beside me while i was sitting at a light.
He rolled down the window and said "Hey man, can i get a ride in that?"
i said "no, but your girl can!"
he just rolled the window up, but not before i saw his gf smile and wave at me

details: i have a stock block, stock head, stock head studs, stock ecu. gt35r turbo, giant intercooler, intercooler pipes, hks 272 cams, turbo back exhaust (no cat), methanol injection, bigger injectors, and all the other bolt ons you can do. car made 500whp on a relatively conservative tune at 28psi stopping at 7000rpm (it will rev to 8000 and hold torque solid at 400ftlb @the 30psi i'm at now... you do the math). i've got a new boost gauge that will read over 28psi now, so i'll be tuning for more. the car is daily driven and gets 23mpg.
oh and i own a business tuning/wrenching evos so i do this every day...
the z06 did say he had traction issues from the 3rd gear rolls.

Here is a 100 shot c6 and 510whp same turbo and 2.3l stroker evo. Near even. It's unlikely you'd wax a 100+hp more vette.
BTW just to prove you aren't full of BS what is your shop's name?
EDIT: I forgot you said z06 so that would mean even less weight for the vette.

You sure it wasn't a Saturn Sky with Z06 emblems on the side? A Z06, even stock , with a driver with all his limbs, would toast the car you describe, if he knew he was racing. Evo-ricer flybys don't count. Oh, and modding your car on Forza Motorsports 2 video game doesn't count as a "business wrenching on cars".

They look a little pedestrian like the 5, but I'll agree that they aren't ugly like the 7, 8, and 9.

It's been a while since I've seen a Japanese car with some attitude. Few Japanese cars (S2K, NSX, etc) are as bold as this.

ok, heres the car that made me decide on which turbo to go with:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=5OB8Xg0Mbhk
2L evo, 35r, methanol, cams, intercooler (basically the exact setup i have). the c6 vette was sopposedly on a 200 shot H/C making 600+ (and i'm pretty sure the vette guy posts here).
as for the one i raced,i didn't dyno his car so i don't know if he was BSing or not. he just said it made 600 (and it was loud as F%^$). and if we had gone into 5th gear he would have passed me just like your video, and the video of the car i linked too. evos are boxes. vettes are slippery and low to the ground. from our 3rd gear roll, assuming he had no traction, i jump a car on him, and hold it through 4th where we stop. had we continued i'm sure he would have passed me.
my company name is evodynamics (registered in texas as evolution dynamics LLC).

The thing is, I bought my Vette for $40K brand new out of Ohio, with ZERO mods, the car ran mid 12's, now with less than $5k worth of mods, it turns mid to low 11's consistantly on PS2 street tires and can eclispe 200MPH top speed. It'll hold to the ground at over 1.1g and pulls 0-60mph in the low-mid 3 second range, traction pending. Comparing it to a Lancer Evo, even if it's modded, is an apples to grapefruit comparo. The Lancer is a nice little car, about top of the class for the import crowd, but hardly a match for a Corvette or decently modded 4th Gen F-Body/Terminator Cobra on the street or track. Sure, you can buy a Lancer, mod the crap out of it, max your credit cards, mortgage the house and dog and get close/similar performance, but you still don't have the car you're trying so hard to be / beat.

thats what a c6 Z06 with H/C making 600whp thought when he raced me and saw my tails through 4th gear where we let off. and all that in a modded evo that total price included all the mods is still less then a base C6 vette. oh and my car is at 65k miles stock block, tranny, transfercase ecu etc etc etc... never had a problem with it.
