Bullitt Statistics
Since there is apparently no moderator on this forum, and you guys all know mr. Bullit and his BADASS car ... I figured I would let you guys (and bullitt himself) in on some performance info on the 2001 Mustang Bullitt, since he doesn't seem to know.
------------------------------------------------------
Ford:
The heart of Bullitt GT is a 4.6L SOHC V-8 modified to improve airflow and reduce parasitic loses. It produces approximately 270 BHP and slightly more torque than the standard Mustang GT. Modifications include:
-Twin 57mm bore throttle body.
-Cast aluminum intake manifold.
-High flow mufflers for increased power and aggressive. performance sound.
-Optimized alternator and pump pulley ratios.
The Bullitt's upgraded suspension translates this power into crisp road manners. The vehicle is lowered three-fourths of an inch to generate a firmer, better-balanced ride and improved handling characteristics. The performance-handling package includes:
-Re-valved Tokico struts and shocks
-Unique stabilizer bars (front and rear)
-Frame rail connectors
-Thirteen-inch Brembo front rotors and performance calipers provide higher stopping capability.
---------------------------------------------------
Now, lets compare that to a regular 2001 mustang GT...
---------------------------------------------------
.... a 4.6 L SOHC V8 engine give the 2001 Mustang GT 260 horsepower and 302 ft. lbs. of torque.
---------------------------------------------------
Now THAT is what I call impressive. All this **** talking about your BADASS car ... it comes with a whopping 10 hp and a tad more torque then a Regular GT ... some upgraded suspension and brakes, and THATS IT.
Welcome to real-life Mr. Bullitt.

Yup, to xphantom
got a chance to look over a Bullitt real good at a car show and spoke at length with the owner. Unlike others, he was cool (older guy, early 40's) and knew that his car was only marginally faster than a GT.
BTW, this guy also has a Corvette. He knows where the heartbeat of America is.

Re: Bullitt Statistics
that 10hp is underrated. My car dynoed stock like 15 hp over some of the GT's.
Bullitt, your an idiot. I could get that much horsepower out of my car with urine in my gas tank.

Re: Bullitt Statistics
well, i do not know the history of the flaming, but if you do some research into the bullit, compared to a GT it is a nicer car.
The apprearance gets rid of a lot of the "add on" parts that ford uses, for a clean look.
ClearCoated engine bay.... nice if your into shows.
Car comes with subframe connectors.... (can we say, ford finally admiting they cut some corners on the SN95 chassis?)
13" brakes... very nice, come powdercoated, with logo
Aluminum manifold... if you want to install this on your 99+ Gt, cost $1500 once you buy all necessary parts. (cheap ford plastic, and N20, or boost = not good, alumimum is better)
Interior... well, lets just say, very nice, seats are sweet, a clean use of billit alumimum accent pieces.
Color, blue, black and green. Clean, Subtle.
.... Bad parts.... FORD decided to offer bullit rims on all "premium" GT's... they also added the hood scoop on the GT's as well.... and the one thing i do not understand... is no fog lights?
Ryan.

Slow, your point is well taken, and well understood. Problem is that when a punk ***, ill mannered ***** full of **** and vinegar straps into said nice car, it by default becomes the biggest POS on the planet.
BULLITT, we all miss ya....
