Out on the 40 frwy on my way to havasu i roll up on a black c6 vert. Personalized plate that said something like Jers vet. Anyways i was behind him b/c there were trucks in the slow lane, we went from about 80 and he got the jump obviously b/c he was in front, at the end we were up to 160 and had i about 8ish cars on him. cool guy, gave me a thumbs up as i passed him lol

I agree. But then again I may be biased on the subject. I haven't run into a C6 vert owner who wasn't under the age of 55.

To the OP what mods do you have? 8 CL's on a C6 is a ton. Nice kill.

nice numbers but those don't necessarily equal 8 CL's on a C6 at those speeds. If I had to guess I'd say the C6 vert had the dreaded "bad driver/auto tranny" downgrade combo....still a good kill regards..

Honestly, it must have been one hell of a long stretch, cuz i think it'd take you quite a while to get to 160mph .... let alone put 8 lengths on a car FAR more aerodynamic than urs at that speed

bolt on's and cam. made 400rwhp. yes it's a long straight highway. I've done 140-160 on it several times. i dont know his mods, when i looked back he was about 8 cars back and i was at 160. If he cant drive not my problem, LOL

My post was sarcasm. If the driver was stupid enough to race someone at those speeds with his top down then he deserved to get his *** handed to him.....

We have a drag coeffeicient ratio .32 which is not too bad really when it comes to aerodynamics. Yes I know a C6 has .28

Honestly the C6's loss isn't really anything to be doubtful about. Too many variables when racing on the street. Be reasonable, this is not an apocryphal story. Good kill.

thanks, it was kinda funny cause when i passed him he gave me a thumbs up, he stuck his arm straight up out the top he caught the air and i thought he damn near broke his arm cause it whipped around to his back, LOL probly stuck himself in his ***
