Default 300C SRT8 vs Roush 360R + SRT10 Truck

I never drive our car, it is my wife's but tonight I was going to my buddies house to help teach him to drive a stick, he just bought a pullied 03 Cobra but cant drive stick that well. I also JUST reloaded the stock tune into our SRT8 since Livernois is doing a custom tune for me, thanks Unit!

Anyway, Im heading out and I hear a loudazz Mustang. Turns out to be a 99-04 360R (eaton bolt on) and this older guy is pacing me.

We catch a light, right near a police station and Im thinking he surely wont go. Wrong. I hit it off the line and instantly put a 1/2 car on him but I hear him screaming (eaton) back to even up but nope. We pulled about a car and he misses 3rd. We were pulling anyway and would have continued to pull but he left off with us about 1.5 cars on him and would not line up again. I imagine they are only good for mid 13's. Ohwell.

10 minutes later I find the SRT10 Quadcab Ram (auto I believe) and he hits it off the line and it was close through 1st but I walked away and he let off somewhere in 2nd. Ohwell. All this still on the stock tune and it feels like a dog.

Then, helping my buddy learn launching his new Cobra, we run across an SRT8 Magnum wagon (I think, but it could have been an R/T 5.7) and ran it from a roll in the Cobra. Not even close. Good fun night. Thats all, nothing exciting. The SRT8 hauls azz though.

I would say around 12.80-13.0 @109-110 but the Diablo Tuners make a hell of a difference in the Mopars. It just outruns my 02 bolt on SS but pulls really well at higher speeds. I cant wait to get it back from Livernois. Id really say 12.40-12.60 @111-113 then but its all bench racing until I can get 3-4 friends to get up to Morosso with me. Im in love with this car, its amazing to get out of my buddies 2000 Z28 and into the Cobra and then into the SRT. Amazing how well it performs and then rides like a Benz.

Nice kills. I love the diablo tune for mine as well. Sure makes a big difference. The only problem I have with it is the car becomes very dangerous in the rain. My wife had me remove the program until I could figure out how to keep the esp on.Tried everything in the tuner to leave it in but still not enough esp. It's her DD as well and honestly in the rain it's come out from under me pretty good on occasion. But dry pavement, a nice chirp and and *** end movement on the 1-2 shift in a heavy *** cruiser is nice and just pulls until you let off.

I thought the 360r was good for low 13's @ 108mph and the later released 380r was good for a best of 12.79 through the quarter. Either way good kill!

Very good kills! Sounds like that car is a loads of fun! I remember watching a show on the SRT's and they were cruising the 300 through Vegas. Damn sweet ride!

I will say that it's kind of disappointing that a blown roush can't run any better. What year was it?

I would say it would have been closer but he did miss a shift. It was the 99-04 but Im not exactly sure which year exactly. It did scream like an 03 Cobra but on a 2valve and lower boost it is a tad slower.

I wonder what they put down at the ground. Probably 310-320. Sounds like that 425hp Hemi is mean!

Oh no man, try 370-380rwhp stock and 400-415rwhp with CAI/Tune.

This week or next week I should have a few good vids. We will be running my buddies 2 cars, his 2000 Z28 MS3, full bolt ons vs his pullied 03 Cobra (me driving the Cobra ) . Then his Z28 vs my Livernois tuned SRT8, either way it will be fun as long as I can convince him to let us get it all on video. Some guys are worried about that stuff.

my friend runs an srt-8 charger... headers, intake, exhaust, and tune he runs 12.9-13.0 on the bottle best to date was a 12.3 @ 113 100shot... the downfall to these are the lack of tuning software... they have tons of potential

he made 365 stock.. sorry to burst the bubble.. 456 on the 100 shot... :/ we ran it at pinks all out san antonio... the 12.3 was run with a 2.2 60' first time on slicks and the nitrous set up... no time to dial it in

Thats exact;y what I said. Mid 12's seem to be a level time since the cars I see from cammed to tuned/CAI only seem very close. Kinda odd.
