okay, i washed my car today and was out cruising to the gene snyder when I passed a yellow evo. I revved it a little and the guy must've done a u turn to catch up to me. he pulls up next to me and he has a friend in the car. I asked him what he had done to it and he said, and I quote, "about $35k in mods. twin turbo, hks..." and said some other stuff, then revved it and it sounded good. I was like, wtf twin turbo i-4? yeah, we'll see. I told him that he would probably blow my doors off, especially from a dig.

We got on the greenbelt highway and hit a light, his friend says, "we'll give you a two car head start to race from this light." I was like wtf okay. before I even got a chance to go the guy guns it, I almost stalled my car out because I was pumping my clutch in neutral. Long story short, I caught him by 2nd gear and he was like 3 busses back by top of 4th. I shifted to fifth and let it wind down and started easing on the brakes because there was a car in front of me. we stopped at another light and I asked him, "what happened?" all he could say was, "dude that ************ is bad ***!" and his friend wouldnt even look at me.

wtf is wrong with the world. the guy is either retarded and got ripped off on the car, or he seriously thought I would lose that badly to a stock evo. I really thought they were quicker than that though. - Ben

I would never talk my car up because if I happen to lose I would look like an *******. Always better to win and wipe the smug look off the face of the other racer/ricer. It's like people who badge up their cars to make them appear as something they are not. What is the purpose?

Sucks to be him. There is a numb-nuts around here like that. Apperently his S R T 4 was AWD and TT. He used to get called out all the time and bitch out. He now drives a 04 vert. Cobra. Pulley, I/E, tune on M/T's. He's lucky if he can run mid-13's in it. LOL.

I don't get people sometimes. Money or the exaggeration of it does not make of for short comings, be it down stairs or in driving skill.

A near stock/stock evo from anything but a dig shouldn't be any kind of competition... from a dig that damn AWD launch is tough to beat....

Nice kill, I posted a kill on an evo recently with a vid... without that launch it's hard for them to compete.

(Don't get me wrong..i've been waxed by a 400awhp evo...I have a lot of respect for them, just saying in stock form a lot of people let that launch go to their heads)

nope, clutch has been lazy lately, fluid is black as hell and I am flushing it tommorow, er, today now. I was just making sure there was pressure and it wasnt going to stick on me.
