Default SS m6 vs 240 SR20DET T28

So a friend of mine has a 92 240 and while trying to race me on my bike months ago he over rev'ed it and bent a valve, so we pulled it in the shop and tore it down. 5 months later we get it back together. Mods are SR20DET w/springs, Titanium retainers, mild cams, 5 angle VJ, header, T28, FMIC, gay lil boost controller, 3" down pipe and custom exhaust, no cat, fart can (he hates how loud it is), and spec clutch. He and I are equally handy with a m/t just to note.
So after a good break in period we turned the boost up to 15 psi and lined up from a 40 roll, let him count it down and we both nailed it. Side by side through second and into third then at the top of third he started to pull about a half car and when I shifted into fourth he had about a car on me and shut it down at about 100 or so (wasn't really paying attention). All in all he was excited but I think he was a little disappointed he didnt pull more seeing that I have a cam and a bunch of bolt ons sitting in the garage.
So I accept the kill for now but didnt feel too bad because I got beat by something I put together. (He picked out all the parts, I had never touched one of those things before)

Wow, nice race. I ran a 1990 or so SE-R not that long ago with an SR20 and T25 or T28, don't remember. I beat him pretty good when I put it in the right gear, but I remember that it was surprisingly fast and thought it would do pretty good against a stock LS1. Now I know.

Maybe it was a T25, so a bit slower, but it was still quick because they weight NOTHING. I think he said like 2,400 pounds or something crazy like that.

Yea I was surprised at how light they were as well. I must say ever since I showed him a Thread in here of a guy with a 240 like his with a LS1 in it bolt on only running 11's all he can talk about is doing the swap to his.

Naw... this is just a "driver." Eventually it's gonna get a nice set of 17" wheels, some new shocks, POSSIBLY a cold air intake, and a decent stereo. That's about it

I didn't buy it. I was gonna sell my Mustang and buy a Jeep, but my mom randomly decided that she wanted a new car, and asked if I would rather have her old one. So I got the S2000, she got a Corvette (), and I'm selling the Mustang to recoup her downpayment.

That's what I'm counting on... she's already decided that she wants a 911 or a C6 next, so it's just a matter of time

Dude your mom is bad ***....my mom offered me er civic....and would never think about buying a vette. The car she really wants is a yellow bug.....horrible huh. Have fun with the s2000. I'm trying to convince my mom to get one, but I guess not enough room in those cars for my mom's liking.

There's a turbo 240 around here that wants to race me. It's all riced out, wing, fart ca, stickers everywhere, ugly as sin. He claims 350hp, then 375, then he claimed 400+ all to different people. I'm sure it's quick but I don't think it would be as well built as the one the OP raced.
