96-98 cobra = 305 hp at 5800 rpm and 300 ft/lbs tq at 4800 rpm
03-04 mach 1 = 305 hp at 5800 rpm and 320 ft/lbs tq at 4200 rpm

both are DOHC not to be confused with the 3 valvers in the GT s-197's
which put out 300hp at 5750 rpm and 320 ft/lbs tq at 4500 rpm

what you did is you probably beat the driver not the car, the mach 1's tq peaks quicker which helps but they are both very similar in power

hell a 96-98 cobra vs. a 03-04 mach 1 is more of a drivers race than a mach 1 vs an LS1

sorry
agreed... ls1 f-bodies are underrated so they don't steal the vettes thunder, they actually put more power to the ground i believe...

and we def hook better so i dont see how a mach1 is really a race?

What the hell are you talking about? Did you miss the threads where I have stated that I ran 13.2 in a Mach 1 with basically NO power mods? Hell and that was a half shitty run! Come back to Earth...

Man... you need to get out more. F-bodies don't put more to the ground than Vettes, first off. They have the capability to launch a LITTLE better because of the SRA, but depending on tires it's a toss-up. And as far as the Mach 1 vs. F-body thing, Machs are geared better (transmission and rear-end), so they are very close from a stop. Past the 1/4 mile, or from a roll is where an LS1 will pull a bit.

the vette made 287 the TA was at 289rwhp
the gt made 189rwhp, and the cobra was around the gtp if i remember correctly

You do realize that every car is different, right? If they were within 2rwhp of each other, they made the same power. F-bodies don't "put more to the ground" than Corvettes.
