Default Mr2(turbo) vs TransAM w/ bolt on's and 150 shot.

Well this happened not to long at a track in Las Vegas(mr2 meet) more videos are coming. This Mr2 had a slipping clutch and was way off his normal times of mid 10's at over 134+mph.

Just click on the mage ytou want to see. You might have to let it run twice for it to come in clear.

Well first it proves that it's faster than your 11.1 with a slipping clutch. Second, to have any performance potential out of a 2valve mustang, you need to have some kind of FI. Third, the resale on a 91 Mr2, is just about what a 2001 ford mustang cost(just thought I would throw that in). Mr2's go from 8-18,000 dollars(turbo)since there where only 13,000 sold and 4000 where turbo. Fourth, if you take in consideration that a stock mr2 is faster than a gt mustang(anyyear) that should make it 100% out of a million.

All this might be true, but there's on key point that should always be brought up in any Domestic vs Import arguement: Imports are bitch cars. I don't care how fast they are, there is nothing more ***** than a 4 cylinder engine, period. PERIOD. No matter how fast you run, 6s or 7s, however fast you get, always remember that if there's a 4banger under your hood, you drive a bitch car.

Just remember that no matter how many people you smoke, everybody still laughs at you for driving a *****-*** MR2, no matter how fast it is. Including me.

HAHAHAHAAAAAAA

domestics forever.

evilstang, don't listen to his bullshit. Your stang is one incredible machine, but I'm sure you already know that.

Actually this is a LS1 forum. So whats your point! The video was against an LS1 powered car. So you don't want me posting an ls1 kill. Sounds kind of hypocritical to me. This was not attended to be a flame war. I just wanted to show what a 600+hp mr2 could do.

by the one, please refrain from posting further import videos in this thread.

You can pretend your smart, but when your gonna post an MR2 video on here and think people are gonna enjoy it on an LS1 forum, it just screams out "moron".

Thanks.

Isn't there some import forum you can be trolling instead of this one? :p

Your intitled to your opinion MarioKid. The looks and style of the mr2 are ageless and timeless. Stock for stock there are NO comparisons in looks. Nothing you can do to a camaro to make it look better. Here are some pics of my friends cars.

http://manderbucket.tripod.com/siteb...s/mvc-006s.jpg

http://manderbucket.tripod.com/siteb...s/mvc-004s.jpg

The two styles can not be compared in my opinion. The only reason the mr2 stopped selling was due to there almost 40,000 dollar price tag in 1991.

I swear, any other forums would embrace the likes of different cars. You people are so close minded. Get your head out our asses, wipe the **** out of your eyes and just for once respect others for what they have.

I think it is ugly as sin actually. The fart pipes are monsterous! Do you really think that the MR2 looks that good?

Oh give me a break. The most expensive MR2 in autotrader right now is 12,900, and there are MR2 turbos for less than half that. What are you comparing an MR2 turbo to, a V6 mustang? That sounds about right.

The Keller blue book does not take into account the rarity of a vechicle. There are cars right now selling for 22,000 for a 96 mr2 turbo. There where only 14,000 mr2's sold between 91-95 here in the states. And only 4000 or so where turbo. Thats why there so expensive.

http://xcars.com/

There is one for 22,000 and one for 16,000 right there.

Are you kidding me? The one on that site for 17.5K has the following done to it:

"This Car is full of Custom Body Work. The car was just painted Gun Metal Grey with a Fearri Gold Pearl on 7/9/03 the paint is cureing right now then it will have all the windows and new seals put on the car. Their is close to $25,000 in custom body work. New engine has les than 5 k miles on it"

No f'ing wonder he wants so much for it. The only way he'll get that is if someone is looking for an MR2 with all that crap done to it...

Did you not see the one for 22,000. Still the point is the car still goes for over 15,000 for no mods done to it. The guy in the video, paid 18,000 for his. No mods, bought it bone stock from a dealer 2 years ago. I'm not going to get in a pissing match again with you people. You bring stuff completely off topic.

If the TransAM would have one, you would have been posting that all over this forum just to shut me up.

Still pretty comparative in price to.. a V6 Mustang. What is that, the ricer classifieds? I can only see someone in a similar mind set as you paying that much for something so fugly. Besides, why would you pay 18,000$ for something that's been uglied out already, when you can get a stock one for 4k$, and waste years of pizza delivery money making it look 'good?' Cmon, let's keep the price comparison fair now. Bottom of the line, unmodified Mustang = top of the line, unmodified MR2...do some research before you make up this crap. Rarity schmarity. Rare does not equal value.

You brought this off topic by bashing a Mustang owner. Shut up, go away...we don't need or want you, nor will we miss you.
