I've seen this on just about every 4 cylinder import on the road, civics to evos, the bumpers are black or burned near the exhaust tip.

My car has true duals, no cats, and bolts ons with a tune. Quad exhaust tips stick straight out the back, and I don't get any carbon on my bumper. I guess having an engine that runs properly makes all the difference.
I guess that's when a "fart can muffler" become's a "shart can muffler". It starts spraying crap all over the bumpers and your right, you do see it on all the jap imports just about.

Yea, pretty much. The 00 and 01 S2000's are very rich from the factory. They start to lean them out a little starting with 02. You are right, though. Most V8's won't get gunk on the bumper without a cat...but most 4 cylinders will. You see that on turbo cars, especially, because they HAVE to be at least somewhat rich, or they'll lean out their car into high boost and blow the motor. Richer is safer but leaves gunk as well as robbing power.

Yea, a lot of people with 00's and 01's buy an 03 ECU to lean out a bit without having to go get a professional tune. It's an easy way for a 00 or 01 to pick up about 10hp.

True! Especially w/ idiot's who just bolt **** on and think it's good to go. I run a Utec that is a piggy back to my ECU. The factory computer controls the car until boost starts, then the Utec takes over and leans or richen s the car and adjust timing.

Damn good run... I watched a buddy of mine run a 12.99 @ 110mph with just a whisper lid (and a 2.15 60' time) in his '02 WS6 6spd.

I could be 12 even or high 11's with some traction....my traps are strong enough. I'm not even cammed yet.

Heres an old run with a 400whp sc 350z.

This was from a roll on the way to the track

Here is a crappy one once we were at the track, I gave him a pretty good head start on this one.

He is getting twin turbos now and coming back for some more. Hope I can still hold him off. He is saying between 500-550 whp. With the new set up.

I'm just hoping I think my traps are good enough, I just don't think the 10 bolt can handle a 1.5 60ft and drag radials.
