both the ls1 camaro and the mach one weighed in at close to 3500
my o1 states curb weight is 3450
they were both rated at a little over 300
ls1 being 315 in 01 for the z-28 and the mach one at 305
but i can tell that alot of you mustang guys didnt know that the ls1 was underrated and actually made 300 at the wheels,my 01 did 298 stock at the wheels not the crank
a mach one is usually close to 270 stock at the wheels and about the same weight as a camaro

and for everyones info i did state that a termi is faster but not by much, being as it put about 360 to the wheels stock and is about 150 lbs heavier

im not saying that an ls1 and a cobra is so close that it is a drivers race, with two equal drivers a termi should win

so all of you mustang trolls out there go get on a mustang site to talk your nonsense

if you didnt get it the last three times, it is always a drivers race anytime you run, but an ls1 is faster than a mach one stock to stock

YOU ARE...I thought I made that clear. First you say that you have never seen a Mach 1 run good times.

TERMIS AROUND HERE THAT ARE STOCK ARENT FAR INTO THE 8'S BUT A MACH ONE IN EQUAL CONDITIONSCAN DO IT? B/S
Are you saying that since you have never seen it that it doesn't exist? Hell I've NEVER seen a stock LS1 go any faster than 13.4 but I know that some have gone into the 12's on good nights. Then you start spewing out hp numbers and weight saying that a LS1 is a faster car because the numbers say so.

But yet you wern't smart enough to figure in gear ratios were you?

Please tell me the fastest stock time you have run (or time with nothing but a O/R Y pipe and catback). Because with mods that IMO do nothing for the car I got a basically stock Mach 1 to run 13.2 in the 1/4th mile on a completely **** run and the first time I've ever even run a Mach 1 at the track. Give me a stock Mach 1 with 20,000 miles on the motor and I'll give you a 12 second time slip. Bring that little LS1 in your sig that you say I don't want none of too.

13.19 and a 13.20 is a bumper,it doesn't take long to go 12" at 110mph.

I think you guys are confused at what im trying to get at.I know what you are saying, but in not so perfect world car"a" trees car"b" and at the end of the track car"b" catches up and wins by a bumper @13.1 to a 13.2.

GM isn't the only company to under rate their engines.

My completely-stock, not-even-broken-in-yet '03 Mach 1 put down 283 rwhp even though
it was factory-rated @ 305 (crank) hp.

Mach 1 rear-end gearing is more aggressive from the factory - 3.55's vs what? 3.42's or less?

Mach 1 transmission gearing on the Mach is also more aggressive - 3.39 1st gear vs what? 2.67? 2.97? for the 6-speed?

Same weight + more aggressive gearing can make up for a 15 rwhp difference easily.
