12sec evo vs. stock TA
#21
No it would get pulled hard freeway, a 12 second evo what does that mean, i have seen evos hit 12s with full exhaust and a tune. But only dyno 250-260 or so horsepower to the wheels. Because they can launch soo hard, like i said. I have worked on a couple evos, the only time a friends evo pulled me was after he got cams installed and he had full bolt ons. a 3300lbs car with 260whp vs a 3500lbs car with 300+rwhp, the ls1 will win everytime on a roll with those circumstances. With cams and bolt ons and tune he was making about 320 hp to the gound he got me by about 2 cars. Then he got a huge turbo and it was over lol.

Lol yes but an evo would be spooled by 3300rpms and a tuned evo by 2800-3000 or so. So its not like you wouldnt be in the rpm range just the boost isnt up yet. I own 2 turbo cars and i wouldnt ever do that lol No wonder people brake there evos left and right.
BTW thanks for calling me a retard, that was necessary

his best was a 12.3 but i thought maybe 11's since it was so "fast"... i know i only drive a mid 13 sec car and i don't consider it fast.
he chose 75 & 85 by pulling up 2 me revving and slowing to 75 and thats where he beeped 3 off

Race from a 40 roll...
ill try that he came out last Saturday i'd rather do a 35 kick though... it should be a better race he'd probably win???? i hook pretty well being stock but pulll strong at 35...

Evos don't have **** for top end. Remember, a 12.3 second Evo is like a 13.3 second Evo from a roll because you can't make up all that time by launching.
As for brake boosting, it shouldn't be necessary on any street vehicle with less than about 700WHP. Its called buy a vehicle with a properly sized turbo instead of a pile of **** 4 cylinder that struggles to spool its relatively small turbo. Ever seen a twin turbo V8 lag from a punch?? Unless its got some massive turbos, its not going to. They spool instantly and off you go.

your about retarted.. Have you heard of turbo lag or anything?? It's like you putting your car in a higher gear you still have the same HP just cant move it as fast.. same thing with brake boosting. It helps the car take off at a higher rpm and with more boost.
Higher RPM = higher PSI = more HP
Maybe someone else can explane it better to you.

I've done many stops on the highway. You have a bunch of car behind you start slowing down to slow traffic down then you can do it. or at least a 40 roll insted of 75-80.. Also noone can get your plate numbers that way
