Because a properly driven Mach will give a properly driven LS1 F-bod all it wants from a dig.

+1

I have a lot of respect for Mach1s. But just like any car it takes a good driver to really get the best out of it.

i've raced one auto and one stick from dead stops and 35 mph rolls due to "traction issues" even though they had much better tires.... i did better from a roll and the stick did better than the auto car. but maybe due to his exhaust i dont think his air filter would make a noticeable difference

Yes from a dig they do good, from a roll they are a little lacking. You ran a 13.5, i was running 12.6s-12.8s when i sold the car and raced quite a few bolt on machs, a couple of them kept up pretty well. Better than a 13.5 car anyway, im not saying you didnt beat them because i have raced some mach 1s that fell back fast and i had 10-15 cars on by 110- either auto or bad drivers but a good driver with a mach 1 from a dig is a fun race. good way to test yourself is to race a mach 1 with the same bolt ons both on street tires, and make sure hes a decent driver.

well i missed out on getting stomped by one once...he was cammed and i was willing to race but i wasn't about to have $50 taken from me. dude was a real ******* because i beat his friends mach1 and wouldn't race him for cash.

i offered to let him drive his friends car (manual) for $50 but he wouldn't do it. his friend was okay with it

Lol, cams in a mach 1 is silly, it probably cost him 3-4 grand for everything and he probably on picked up 30-40rwhp.

What he should have done is got forged internals, lowered the comp ratio a little and then down the road stuck a turbo or supercharger, its pretty much the smart way to mod a mod motor. I would get a mahc 1 if they didnt want 18-24grand for a car i used to beat in my 10,700 dollar f-body

dude wasn't hurting for money and cams weren't the only mod.. at least he didn't try to lie about what was done to the car. it sounded pretty wicked too.

he also had slicks and a mess of boltons

wow just wow, watch out there are a couple guys here that think a stock f-bod has no chance against a mach1. you'll get jumped. and $&%#@@ why would they cost such a ridiculous amount of money?

Its not the engine you have to worry about breaking but the rear end could, and those termis making 1000rwhp have gone turbo, or twin turbo they arent even superchared anymore. Just wait and see what people can do with the ls9, a 6.2liter supercharged vette with forged internals, 625hp stock can you say 650rwhp with bolt ons and a tune.

dude i know nothing about a terminator but im sure it's got a forged rotating assembly which the gt and mach1 doesn't and the entire engine surely isn't stock hitting the 1000 hp mark noob? and when did i say the engine would break anyway? thats not the only thing that is involved with moving the car

from stock form i'm sure you'd be able to gain more than 25hp from bolt ons let alone a tune...

twin charged setups are the new rage, MMFF put down over 1100 on a bone stock motor w/ a set of twins and stock eaton

and ya lets just compare the motor from a 100k car to that of a 30k car, i guess that really shows you how great the 03/04s are if they draw that kind of comparison

Lol, well the lsa will be in the new caddi which isnt 100k lol. Also the rumor is the new camaro will have the ls8 which is also a 6.2liter supercharged that car should be under 50grand. Lol the 5.4liter in the new cobra is better than the 03/04 it just comes in such a heavy unlaunchable car. Im comparing the 2because they are both s/c and have forged internals are they compareable NO. A 3700lbs car with 370rwhp vs a 3200lbs car with roughly 570rwhp and far better suspension for the track and better brakes, better styling. Did you like that comparison?

Ford never seems to understand that weight is a factor in every type of racing
