Default Ws6 Vs Lotus

Happened about an hour ago, I am heading home from work and I see some odd headlights pass, I could not recognize the car. So I turn left and follow and at the light I meet up with a bright light green Lotus with dealer tags. It had two guys in it and was blarring rap music. I here it rev and the light turns green. we roll out and about 20 he hits it with no warning. So I slam the throttle down and stop his pull immediatly and then pass him easily. As I pass by I put down my window and wave, you know the old so long.

I wanted him to catch up so Ican give hime the thumbs up but guess what, he does a ricer fly while I am at 50mph by and continues to haul so he is about 8 cars ahead and I slam the throttle down again. I slowly again start gaining and by 135 I was at his back end. I could have passed but that was fast enough for me tonight. So the next light comes up and it turns red and he runs the red light it. I guess he did not want to race anymore.

I do not know anything about Lotus's and I dont even know what type it was, all I know is I won and very easily. Its small and has corvette style back lights (two sers of round lights), very small with small windows and a round gas cap on the back right.

It was either a Lotus Exige or Elise?
There kinda fast..a low 13 second car. But there trap speeds are only 103 in the 1/4.
Just don't try and race one on a curvy road.
I owned one before I got my Z06. It was fun in the curves but kinda boring on the freeway.

then it was an Elise. 190 hp.
If it had been an Exige it could have had 220..or 240
Now the NEW Elises have 240 also..but chances are that it was an 05ish Elise.
The 240R Exige is a beast! 12.5 1/4

thanks guys, i was hungering for a good race but was disapointed by this cars performance.Based on its looks you know, but it brought all show to a go fight. But by the way the guy was reving at me at the first red light, I bet he thought he had the fastest car ever made.

They have a 1.8 liter with a Supercharger in the 2007 Exige. Its not as fast as it looks thats for sure...but the Exige S can move along pretty nice. Its a sub 13 second car.
The one the OP raced was an Elise with 190 hp. 0-60 in 4.4 and 1/4 mile in 13.0
BUT..its takes a damn good driver to get those times.

They are NOT fast id they do not launch. Seriously...the first gear is long and slow. I always hated that the car never pushed me back in my seat.
I raced a GTO one night in mine and I pulled about half a car till we hit 100..then he pulled 2 cars on me.

you ever looked at the curb weights on those things? Isn't it like 1900lbs?

Great Power to weight ratio if you ask me

Put some wings on it and it would look like a grasshopper It should be called "Locust" instead of "Lotus"
