The SRT-8s aren't F'n around. Dodge got their act together this time. But we will always have the edge when it comes to modding.

BTW, they are certainly low 13 second cars off the showroom floor. Barring traction, they'll run a 13.3 in the dead heat of summer at a sea level track. I've seen a couple goin 12s stock. Old TBSS owner now in a 300 has went a best of 12.36 w/ a intake and diablo on DR's.....

Some guys really dont care for any performace car outside of the LSX. Unlike myself, I was so impressed with SRT8's I bought one. I also bought an 02 SS just after the SRT8 thinking I wanted a muscle car and ended up driving the SS ah, never ...since I had the SRT8 which was faster. So I sold it and off it goes to Ca. They picked it up today actually.

Cobras are sweet, but the interiors are enough to make me puke.... I'd still rock one If I could afford one...

Having owned 6 LS1 vehicles and now a 6.1 Hemi vehicle, I can say the 6.1L is a pretty badass engine. It just has the handicap of being saddled in a seriously heavy vehicle. All you 6 speed guys aren't vey impressed by the 360 rwhp numbers the stock SRT8 vehicles put out, but you have to remember, they are going through an automatic and not a manual trans. Most F-bodies that put down 360 rwhp have 11 second potential so believe me when I tell you that the motors are potent.

My Jeep is an absolute 0-60 machine. It pulls 1.7 60' times on the street or at the track thanks to AWD. I raced a 6 speed LS1 F-body at the track last night. He had an ASA cam, bolt-ons and nittos. I drilled him at the starting line and held him off at the line. Got the win. We had a nice laugh about it. He's never been left at the starting line by a Jeep before, LOL. It's always fun to broaden your horizons. My Jeep is nowhere as fast as my WS6 was, but it's soooo much more refined and classy. I get tons of compliments and it's a much more age appropriate vehicle for me.

Yea, they both have thier goods and bads but I still prefer less squeeks and rattles from the Cobras interior even if the driver ac vent only cools my left knee.

Wtf moron? You revive an old thread to talk ****? Pathetic.

First off, I would run circles around your family sedan, second off, I am willing to bet a mild TBSS would run circles around it..

If you took the time to dig this up, you should read what I wrote all the way through. SRT 300's and Chargers are alright, if your wanting a 4 door with some up, and something the wife can **** off the ricers with.... Not if your wanting to build yourself a nice Street/Strip car.

The 300's are sweet.. Not really into the chargers look at all.
