99 z28 vs srt8 charger
So i met a friend of mine at the car show tonite that i havent seen in awhile n last time i saw him we raced when my tranny was messed up n he beat me pretty bad so i figured we should run again since i put my exhaust on n got my tranny fixed. He also got exhaust and an intake. My car is a m6 by the way. So we lined up from a 45 n i honked it off n immediately i pulled on him which was not what i was expecting. By the time we shut down at about 100 or so i had like 2 to 3 cars on him. I thought those cars where faster than that? We then did a dig which he wanted cause he thought hed kill me but i actually didnt spin that bad n he did so it was pretty ugly lol. All in all it was fun but i wonder what those cars run if i could beat him? I thought they where like high 12 sec cars

Hmmmm..my buddy at work has an SRT8...and my formula with Lid, Exhaust, headers, 3:73 gears and Tune was not much faster..if anything it was about the same.
However we never raced...im just going on how they felt as a passanger in his car.

I wouldnt be worried about the typing id be more worried about trying to guess people's 1/4 mile times it seems you know so much about cars you can guess their times by sitting in the passenger seat

I know quite a bit about cars Your taking my post about how fast a car feels by being a passenger a little too personal. If you read my thread about me racing him it might make more sense. I raced him in my Z06. It was not SOLEY based on my ride.
It’s just there are some LS1 fan boys on the site that IMO are just as annoying as ricers. NOT That you are one and the OP is not one...I’ve read your post and I can tell you know cars. Its just that your garbage comment seemed a little RUDE.

Same with LS1s in my area, SRT-8s are low 13sec cars here though. Plenty in the 12s stock, the Diablo guarantees it.
I haven't lost to an LS1 yet, sounds like OP ran a guy who doesn't know his car. Not saying it would win, but it would have been much, much closer.
Common mistakes are manually shifting and not turning ESP off.
Bottom line - nice kill.

I know he isnt the best driver in the world but he still shoulda kept up closer than what he did. Atleast i thought he wouldve. All i have is slp loudmouth built 6 speed n a lid. I pulled on him from a dig and from a roll

i never post and usually keep my opions to myself. but, the last couple of post i have read seem to be fairly questionable. i know anything can happen on the streets.i know i don't have the fastest car and won't claim that. i can just base things off of my own experiences and the the mods of the cars i have ran. i believe that some things are being streched a little.
i'm not trying to **** people off so i'm just going to back to being quiet.
a kill is a kill anyway you get it. good kill.

Just like Mach 1s, SRT-8s are some of those cars that their owners claim to be in the 12's outta the showroom floor. I've never seen one run low 13's, much less 12's. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt though.
Actually, I have seen a Mach 1 on a show called "pass time", it had MT DRs, intake, exhaust and some other **** and it did run mid 13's I think.
I've actually raced an SRT 8 charger before from a roll (my weakness). The way I left this guy didn't seem like a mid 13's car, much less a 12 second car.
Just my 2 dollars.

the stock 12 sec camaro, gto, mach1, srt8, etc. are hard to come by on the street. i rarely see any srt8's its probably even more rare to run into one that knows their car... thats like wise for any other quick car out there. cars get too many bad names from their drivers.
