to be honest it the real rice burner that dont talk about there car that have the power. Like at my high school this one always said his integra would flat out smoke my car. I took down a long stretch of road i ******* flat out slaughtered him so bad i said when we go to school tommorow i wont talk about this if you dont want me to. I like people who just talk about there cars not particurly run there mouth about them cause theres always some body faster you know. This is the truth evertime you beat a ricer he will always say you have 2x the motor or some other bullshit an instead of admitting defeat say it was a close race i let up at 120 an was at least 5cars ahead of him Dam ever honda owner that thinks V-techs are the ****. I told my manager at work about this she said its not your fault you bought a car that was already fast. Started bitching out ricers because they have to turbocharge or do all this work to there cars befor they can compete. It was funny

There are countless CRX hatch civic's around here at firebird doing 11.8-12.2's

400hp + 2000lb curb weight = Fun

Reminds me of the Highschool Challenge I went to last weekend at Maple Grove Raceway. All kids from area highschool competeing, someone showed up there in a POS turbo Sunfire. Primered body and body kit, big wheels, you know the deal. The whole time the driver kept revving up to launch control and letting it bounce there, letting off the hear the BOV. Did this the whole time and even revved at me in my 01 Trans-Am WS6. I did revv back and looked at him and laughed. He KEPT STALLING THE CAR ALL DAY. Seemed like the first time the ricer ever drove stick, on the track they kept missing gears, and after a good 5 runs maybe, the BEST time they managed was a 16.6! It was bracket racing so they had 16.0 on the window, but coulden't even touch that....wow a turbo'd Sunfire running mid-high 16's (SIXTEENS!!) That is EMBARASSING!!! Talk about a REALLY shitty done job.

Sure there's a handfull that has been done right and are fast, but 90% of them are junkers.

QFT, unfortunately. Most people just don't know or don't care to do it right.

Most do not know how to do it, so they bring it to the person who will do it at the absolute CHEAPEST price, regaurdless of their reputation, I ALWAYS here kids saying "Yeah my boy is putting my turbo kit on in a few weeks"....for some reason I would not trust your "boy" to turbo your car for you, i'd leave it to the pros

I'm talking 20-30+. They're like a disease. I just saw a turbo'd and built H22 swapped into an older SI running mid 12's at 119

From a dig, turbo's are not the best with off the line performance and neither is fwd.

Most of them are junk. There is one here in tulsa running mid 10's and it was on the street alot last year. Well, almost every other weekend. There are a handful of 11 second ones running around too. As far as talking crap they are just as bad as us, they sing it all day long.

You want to race them from a dig. Ones that are done up right are just as fast as us out of the hole. 1.5-1.6 with slicks. Their grounds are on the highway. Just like any other turbo car.

What is not true?

I would bet that almost every time if that crx had a blower, spray, or a really built n/a motor it would take the turbo car off the line. It is the way it goes not all of the time but most of the time.

It mostly goes for larger turbo's that have huge lag. Smaller turbos as a general rule do not have lag (or very much anyway)

ya i was just using it as a general guideline because most of the turbo b series motors are not known for off the line performance or torque down low unlike a 03-04 cobra for example or any roots style blower or nitrous car.

Not many turbo motors are known for ground pounding down low torque like a twin-screw or nitrous setup.

Also try and notice if he has a manual boost controller or electric. If its electric then watch out, he probably has different boost settings per gear (ex. 7psi 1st gear, 10psi 2nd, 14psi 3rd, etc.) and if it is electric chances are it was built right and is a pretty quick car as its not a cheap part and most just put a manual one on.

With some sort of launch control (2step, anti-lag, etc) you can build enough boost off the line to keep from falling on it's face. With a FWD though, it's probably not a great idea.
