i know these things, i appreciate the info but a smack talking kid in a crx will probably not rip out of the hole. My statements were just to say the OP would be best from a dig where the fwd will work aginstthe crx, and the crx will not be into his prime like he would at higher speeds where boost and traction work better for him. have a nice day

Default Where do i stand

The only power adders i have are a lid, ssra, p&p tb, and a catback, with the addition of my gears, auburn posi and suspension mods, do i hold a fair chance against most imports like the 350z or wrx/evo's?

actually in the honda world the crx's are fat lol a hatch or coupe ways less than a crx. I cruise with one honda hatch and he just happens to put down 505hp to the wheels. with a smaller turbo and about 100 less hp he was runnin low 11's you gotta watch some of those boosted 4bangers. when done right they're rediculous. I also know of a coupe with a 400+lb driver that runs a 10.5 and i HEARD 600+fwhp. i hate rice but dont mind a real import. both hondas i spoke of street driven almost everyday and the hatch with mt radials he spins 1-3 lol.

Um... not really. The lightest CRXs were just over 1700lbs, whereas the lightest EG (92+) hatch was just under 2100lbs. The heaviest CRX (Si) was less than a hundred pounds heavier than the lightest hatchback. So if you want the absolute lightest body, you get a late-80s CRX.

the guys that i ride with are the early years, 91 coupe and 80's hatch and according to them the crx is heavy. but i could care less because i'm not a honda guy lol.

As said, most are rev-limiter bouncing morons. I still haven't figured that one out yet.... But some can be fast. I had one on the last run of the night last week at the track. I say to myself, I got this. Nope... He didn't smoke me but he got me by about 4 lengths. He redlit to my shock of him takin off and sayin damn go dude!!!! Plus he ran a 12.70@108 to my 12.95... Only the second time I've been beat by a ricer. The other time was by a old CRX that was such a POS the back bumper was hanging off and his window didn't even work. But he ran 11s!!! Woohoo... At that point I don't care how fast your car is, its a POS...

When 95% of the owners are numb nutted kids who don't know what the hell theyre doing, it kills the image for the other 5%. The Fast and the Furious perception is there for a reason.
I have yet to see truly streetable 10 sec Honda. The ones I see at the track are stripped out shells that look too dangerous to be on public roads.

Besides, the suspension/tire setup needed to allow a FRONT WHEEL DRIVE car to run 9s-10s is FAR (EVEN further than a RWD setup) from 'streetable', let alone 'street legal'.

Damn, that little Honda moved out quick. Great kill and very nice video. Only recommendation would have been to put a couple lightweights in the cars with cameras so you can get in car footage.

What did you dyno at the time of the video? Any track times or trap speeds?
