I'm down on Missisippi on a military business. Me and this Vette owner a chatting at the light and out of no where i here one of the worst sounding exhausts i have ever heard, i i guess the sound of some kind of blow off valve. I don't know why the CRX owner targeted me, but he did. He pulled up talking $hit, claiming he would slaughter me. As we start cruising without giving a honk or waiting on the light he dumps the clutch and takes off! Gotta admit it was a good launch! After i catch up and ask him to run it from a dig he starts yelling i got smoked by a four banger and american muscle is garbage. He waited until 3 other cars were in front of me a did it again! I tried to hunt him down but he got missing! Has anyone here beaten a turboed or sc'ed CRX, with mods similar to mine?

Dont waste your fuel...it must of been the first day with his 14 second turbo honda and thought he was invinsable.

Sub-11s if done properly. I'm actually being serious too. The one you described sounds like a piece of ****, and most of them are, but I know a couple who know their stuff.

i raced a gutted turboed civic hatch and it was quick and was a pretty good race but i still took him most are not built like the owners claim. if he was talking all that smack i bet he was not faster then your car. Most people who have respect for fast cars do not do that.

I beat my buddy's turbo CRX by at least 4 lengths from a 50 roll to 110mph. We did this like 3 times and If we had kept going, it would have been worse for him.

My car sucks from a roll by the way.

Any car, even the slowest piece of **** can run 11's if modded properly.

But yeah, it really all depends on the crx's setup.
One with a good sized turbo will be pretty damn fast.
The one I raced had a 57trim on it.

we have one around here running mid 7's in the 1/8th. They dont weigh **** so they can get pretty qiuck with a big *** turbo on them.

I feel like a ricer talking about this but streetable ones can be very fast depending on what motor swap is done and if the motor is stock or has boost.

Any Honda owner who spews that sort of **** and talks down to people about his car that quickly AND always jumps the gun and calls it a win is clearly running a crappy set up or some one else's car. Most well done Hondas are driven by some pretty cool enthusiasts.

I forgot to mention that I think that CRX kid sounds like a punk giving the import scene a bad wrap. A true definition of a punk ricer at it's finest. I just see the automotive scene as a whole no matter what make or model or country the car is from. It's just the idiots that drive them that suck *** at times.

You'd have thought he would have choosen the Vette, being it's GM's flagship. I guess with me having a sleek beak bird and a rather tame exhaust he felt i was an easy prey. with my mods listed in sig, how do a fair against a stock Vette? Excuse my ignorance but my ride has been babied and never put to the test against any thing. I catch hell from eveyone because it's not a WS6, quiet exhaust and being an A4.

I think you could hold your own against a 2.73 geared A4 Corvette but not an M6 with a good driver.
