Default 01 WS6 vs Blown Goat and 5.0

was cruising to work and running a bit late so i was driving spiritedly until i get cut off by a white mustang 5.0 and red goat. I didnt think nothing of it as i cut it over and passed both of them the goat sounded really quiet. He was hanging back as i was next to the 5.0, he didnt seem like he wanted to play until it opened up to 3 lanes, and thats when it happened. i was in 5th at about 45-50ish when all i hear is this loud whinning and the goat goes flying by me, so of course i drop gears and pursue, we both cut it onto the highway, i was first, the goat, then the 5.0. i knew i really didnt stand much of a chance vs the goat but i decided to go for it anyway, got on the highway dropped into 3rd and pegged it, the goat stayed pretty much a fender ahead of me until mid-top 4th gear when he started really walking me. i shut it down at about 115 and he was a solid 2 cars ahead. the 5.0 took a while to catch up, was def a fun time especially with my bad clutch. so i called and ordered my ls7 clutch kit and ls2 flywheel from sdpc so there is no more sticking clutch.

the 112 maggie goats run out of steam at high rpm's and high speeds. they are made for low end power. probally about around 450 to 480 rwhp with some supporting mods. and please everyone stop the bad clutch excuse. i see this on this forum more than any other. good death with the goat. good kill on the mustang.

Good kill.

I think that GTO would have pulled more on you if you've kept going. My car is cammed and I got killed by a cammed 6.0 GTO.

Nah bro. Sold the sixxer, bought a 240sx shell threw in a LS1/t56 and it got totalled
Bought the C6 and then picked up my cousins whippled 07 GT for dirt cheap cause he was in financial trouble, and then traded straight-across for the Cobra

most of the time when i hear of a loss, only with a loss my clutch was slipping or is bad. if you race and lose and you know you have a bad anything then don't use it as a excuse. you knew it going into the race . i am not attacking you. i am just saying to all, don't use it as an excuse when you know in advance you have a problem with the car. i believe you ok.

If there's a "bad anything" with the car, shouldn't it be noted in the description? If a Vette loses to a Civic, people are gonna ask how it happened. Performance improvements are noted, and I'm sure the OP will mention the new clutch in his next kill/death, so why not mention the performance inhibiting clutch in this death? A guy mentioning he has a bad clutch and hardly using it as an excuse seems like an odd thing to **** your pants over.

i guess you just don't get what i said. if you lose a race you lose. don't use a car problem as the reason. the op had a bad clutch that's ok. but many posts blame a car problem . don't give the impression that it is the reason the race was lost. if your car has problems don't race it, fix it. you get it now.
