Default z/28 vs FTO

Was coming home from a shopping trip the other week when merging onto a multilane highway a Mitsubishi FTO decided they wanted to play

It was quite nice looking one, very shiny red, big aftermarket black alloys, exhaust and other styling mods. Not sure of exact mods as I never got to speak to them.

Anyhow had to wait for traffic to clear then we hit it.

Was really pleased with the results, we went at it 3 or 4 times. Same result each time - bus lengths.........

Dude was pretty cool about it, pulled up next to me at a round-about with a big grin on his face and gave the thumbs up.

Don't know. Most here are grey imports from Japan, very few sold here officially.

I've only been outside of the US once to the Caymen Islands. I was surprised to see many Japanese Imports there as "rental cars" such as a type r civic

GM sold the Camaro at selected dealers in the UK from 1998-2002 along side the Chevy Blazer (rhd), Cadiallac Seville STS (rhd) and C5 Corvette (lhd).

Yep quite a few, but 95% percent of them have no idea what the car is, not even after you tell them..............

Good kill. What does the FTO look like? I thought I've seen pics before, and it looked like a 3000gt, vr4 possibly. Or am I way off in left field lol.

I remember seeing it in those games....guess I just didn't pay attention enough lol. From some of the angles I guess it looks kinda like a 3000gt....but that pic Sarge posted helps me out. Way different lol. Interesting...what motors? vg30TT? Or something else.

Various motors. From a 1.8 4 banger to a 2.0 V6. Not quick by American muscle car standards. The top model V6 has over 200hp and weigh in at around 1200kg (2640lb) I think.

Truth. Or power to weight with a TT vg...that would be pretty damn quick.
