Way to shut his *** down. Screw trap speeds...racing is all about getting your *** out in front. Whatever your power level, if you can't scoot in front of your opponent...you lose. Go home and cry to your track slips and dyno graphs.

(no im not dissing drag tracks or dynos)

Dan

I guess so in some races but most 03 Cobra guys with 600+rwhp including myself (until recently) have to leave the line at less than 50% throttle to get any traction with a drag radial and just sit and wait until 3rd and 4th gear where you can apply the power, you hope. Enjoy the victory for the first few gears until I can apply all the gas. Now if we all drove around on slicks, it wouldnt be a problem.

+1... Awesome! I'm not sure how much power you have compared to that cobra but if you're under 700hp I'm sure he was not too happy. Anything can happen on the street!

Like I said, it's street racing so if you can't get in front you still lose. Roll racing....well.....ummm...my g/f called so i gtgkthxbye!

I'm sure you understand what I meant though. Whether you have way more power or you suck at driving or should have won....if you didn't...you still lose and would still have to pay in a money race. Racing is not all about who should have won.

I'm getting sooo tired of 'man he needs to learn how to drive'...yeah no ****! Like somebody has to say it? Because nobody can ever see the obvious? Racing would be boring if it alwys went how it SHOULD have.

Ugh.

Well yeah...
Don't most blowers have lower boost ratings at higher rpms and higher than normal discharge temperatures? Or is that just the positive displacement blowers, and not the screws?

620rwhp is with 19psi. I haven't tuned it yet for 23psi. I just upped the
boost.

I re-read and got what you were saying . Yes, turbos are more efficient in making power than blowers.

True story. I need a new sig. I'll wait for the next round of mods
and track visit though.

Fixed the link for you.
Cams do little for a Cobra or any mod motor Mustang out there. Both the trans and blocks on the '03-'04 Cobra have been tested and proven over 1000RWHP.
Looks like you have a very nice car sir to take down a KB Cobra

thanks man. yeah the cobra is on a built bottom end. not sure on the the boost he is running but its pushing over 690 rwhp.

Yup!...just cuz he has all that power it doesn't mean he'll always win. If he can't apply that power to the ground he loses. Its not like they were racing from a roll

Yep. Dyno graphs don't win races.
