Default kenne bell vs my z/28

so this kid in my town got an 04 cobra. took it in to get internals done. got cams full exhuast n the new 2.8 kenne bell, roughly push 700 hp. he is still on the stock t-56. he is the bigest talker i ever knew. so i give a call asking for a race, he tells me yeah, but only $300. i was short on cash that night, so i said $50 & he agreed.

here is the video enjoy.

Fixed the link for you.
Cams do little for a Cobra or any mod motor Mustang out there. Both the trans and blocks on the '03-'04 Cobra have been tested and proven over 1000RWHP.
Looks like you have a very nice car sir to take down a KB Cobra

rice run man, your car hooks up pretty well from the dig obviously!

i'm not to knowledgable on KB's, but doesnt 700 sound WAY high for a 2.8? like 150+ to high?

Not at all. Unit213 runs a 2.2KB on 23psi and makes 620rwhp if I remember correctly. A 2.8KB with a smaller pulley could reach 700rwhp especially if its the new mammoth kit

Good kill. They are very difficult to launch and thats what happens when you put all that money into the power and little if any into the suspension. You do realize that you should have 120mph traps and he should have 130mph traps with some seat time.

Get a good long vid from a roll (he cant drive) next time you guys run, there should be plenty more runs if he is a trash talker.

Any idea what pulley combo he is running on a 2.8? If it is under 18-20lbs, they can make less than 2.2's so Im curious.

Must be nice to just get a car and send it to the shop and get all kinds of **** done..

Way to shut his *** down. Screw trap speeds...racing is all about getting your *** out in front. Whatever your power level, if you can't scoot in front of your opponent...you lose. Go home and cry to your track slips and dyno graphs.

(no im not dissing drag tracks or dynos)

I had no idea how little I knew about the 03-04 cobra. I just learned from a little research that they had cast iron blocks.

Yeah, they look pretty sick from the little bit I found. I didn't think it could be done with a blower, they're not exactly the best choice for FI but they do yeild a pretty awesome curve. I honestly think I would buy a Cobra, if they weren't so damn expensive. I don't really like their stick location or interior (just like any other mustang) but their motor is something else. For the price though, I'd be more tempted to go C5 Z06.

I think they mean supercharger compared to turbo when aiming for 1000rwhp on only 4.6 litres.

His car is an LS6 with a cam and stall....I see it happening if the Cobra was still an IRS car.

tested or not I doubt either the stock trans or block would last long with that kind of power

^ Jesus that's ridiculus. I'm not much of a Ford guy but the 03-04 Cobra's are some fine machines.
