Like I said before, Anything can happen on the street. It happens often. The lower HP car will win either because the driver mod and/or traction. I'm sure if they ran a mile long race the Cobra would have fetched him 690hp is a lot but it's just a number without traction!

you beat the driver not the car, good kill regardless.
I know someone in the area with a 3.4L whipple, heads, cams, exhaust. his car makes just about 700rwhp on the stock bottom end. So the claimed 700rwhp in this post is possible.
My 2.8L KB with a fuel system (tank, pumps, wiring harness, new lines, rails, 60lb injectors, etc) and full exhaust...the car makes 646rwhp//615rwtq at 20-21psi on 93 octane pump gas. All done by Strictly Performance here in houston. The tune isnt the mildest of tunes, but the cobra isnt my daily either .
Not trying to start **** but ive raced serval cam-only and H/C vettes and fbodys. It gets really ugly after 2nd gear, im talking buslengths. You need at least a nitrous or a big cube motor to hang. Ive been beaten multiple times by vettes and fbodies, but they were running alot more than heads and cam. Just an excuse to keep modding.

Did he raise the pulley size to lower PSI? I know a lot of guys do that with the 3.4 Whipple that even bother running it on the street because its just too much power. 700rwhp with all that just doesn't add up. The 3.4 alone should be putting down close to 700 with the stock 3.5 (?) pulley
