Default Me vs STS Z06

Well...
Went out looking for a little a action and came across the ole vette crew out here....Tried to get me to run for money, wish I would have after the fact...
1st run I was on motor, we lined up and by 3rd gear this "stock" 02 has put 3-4 cars on me....I was like what the smurf....I eat Z06's for brunch...
At this time still I didn't know what it was, it was smoking a little so I figured he sprayed me...
After a bunch of trash talk I got the bottle and he wanted 3 cars????????I heated up the MT's real good and proceeded to catch him at the end of 2nd and by 3rd it wasnt even a race....The guy that rode up there with me and some other spectators told me they heard a blow off valve between shifts so that explained why a "stock" Z06 got me good on motor....
Then on the way home I turned cannibalistic and *** raped a pretty 04 YJ with some blacked out powder coated rims, looked sweet...
Fun quick night, don't know if the Doc will ride with me anymore though....lol

If you have just the stuff in your sig it might be stock.

1st race you lose by 3 or 4.
2nd race he gets 3 cars and loses with you on bottle.

Sounds about right stock. If he was boosting it would have been close the second race if not another win.

Yea, it was definitely a turbo. Had to be an STS. This accounts for the way the exhaust sounded, the tsss in between gears and the patented STS oil leak.

I think that stock C5 Z06s 02-04 put down like 330-340 stock and 380 with long tubes, intake, catback, udpulley and a tune?

That is incorrect. That sounds more like the 2001 C5 Z06's. I put down 378 and 366 torque stock.

Define Stock. Last week we dynoed my buddy's C5 Z06 and it put down, 353.
It was exactly 30 hp more than his firehawk and about 10-15 torque. We overlayed the graphs and the Z06 pulled away at 3500 and above as if the cam made the major difference. Until, 3500 the graph was identical. I've never seen a stock C5Z06 put down 380. The motor is an LS6. I have an LS6 with a slightly larger cam and I'm only 20hp over 380. My car is 3438 with driver. (205 of muscle and fat.) Z06's are fast on top end. But they don't walk off from 435hp GTO's.

Stock is stock. A firehawk isn't a Z06. Apples to oranges. I didn't say it would walk him bad. I said the OP wasn't walking him that easy on motor.
