Default First Diesel kill just have to share

The diesels around here have a fast and the furious attitude. Meaning they think they can blow the doors off camaros and mustangs alike. There are a couple that run like low 8's in the 1/8 around here lets just say this wasnt one.
It was like 2:30 in the morning and I was on my way home and I see some Cummins it my rearview. I was bored so I took off kinda quick from a stoplight and slowed back down to see if it was game. He sat at the light for a while ( I assume adjusting a programmer) then comes flying up next to me. He paced me for like two blocks so I paced back until we hit a safe stretch. I was gonna just play with it but he ticked me off casue he hit it twice real quick and Black smoked down the side of my car. We were at like 35mph so I jumped my car forward and backed off As soon as a got back next to him I hear his turbo spool and he mashed it without warning so I Laid into my car hard at like 38mph perfect for my 2.73 A4. I drilled on this truck from 40 to around 80 he was way way back. so I slowed back down to go again and he wouldn't come back up next to me. I pulled into a gas station to maybe talk for a while and he took a left before he got there. Oh well sore loser I guess but the dieselsare overrunning the streets getting way to cocky around here.
So I'm sure the fast ones will be after me now. But that'll cool watching a 8,000lbs truck out run me.

Nice kill.

I was one of the first decently quick diesels in my area. Now its like all the rich hick boys ask mama and pops for some big shiny dually. They make us look like dipshits.

Oh well, I guess there is the same bunch in every group. Whether its imports, diesels, muscle, sports cars, etc...

Thanks

I have respect for a fast diesel but most are little rich boys with an edge thinking thier king

I'm just waiting for that F250 with a full banks kit and propane to smoke me now he runs 8 flat in the 1/8 more than enough to take out my car but I'll still give it a go

They especially don't like it when they are blowin their black smoke on ya and you pierce right through it and rape em, done that a few times and once a guy thought he was cool enough to just by-pass a light after he got beat and loses control in the ditch and takes out a speed limit sign lol bet that cost him a shiny penny.

But dont get me wrong, there are some crazy fast pulling truck that my buddy has built up that would rape alot of LT1's and LS1's heres a pic of a crazy badass TT setup he made for a customer:

Hamilton does make some NICE stuff, but that isn't a twin turbo setup, count the turbos!

Nice one

Guess diesels hold a different alure on your side of the pond? Here they are 10 a penny, in fact I have one as a DD - 1.5 litres for raw power with an almost unattainable 50hp (fly)

Most people who refer to diesels over here are the large displacement turbo or TT diesel truck engines producing over 650lb-ft of torque stock (crank).
Nice runs. Most people here think their bone stock diesel is SOOO FAST and rev at everything...now I just stay in the lane opposite their exhaust.

i cant stand the diesels who constantly want to race. when i bought my 07 duramax i said i wasnt going to chip it or anything, but damn i caved in. it went 15.1 stock and with the programmer 13.49 so its pretty quick for a 10k lbs truck, but i really try not to race it to muhc, especially with $4.60 a gallon. i swear i get more mustangs than anything trying to race me in it though

on Pass time- (speed tv show) there was a dodge 2500 - looked bone stock, even had the stock rear rubber...it ran 11.57 @ 127. i would say that is fast as ****....i would love to know exactly what he did/how much he spent to go that quick..

i also saw that dodge and it suprised the crap out of me. he said it only had a tuner, but thats bs, it takes a little more than that to go that fast. that truck ran hard

His name is Brad Morse and your right it is a mean truck! As far as mods at the time that show was taped, it had a shortbed conversion, twin turbos, bigger injectors, dual CP3's, BDCL/MP8 stack, nitrous, fuel system, and a built tranny. The engine has never been opened up, bone stock. Since then its been 11.1 and over 130 mph on drag radials with a mild pass blowing the intercooler pipe at 1000' out, it's a 10-second truck easy when it all comes together.
