Wow, you guys are tough...anyone local to the Panhandle of WV wanna race?
Shenandoah circuit of Summit Point, will be there 25-26 July come on out.
I was passing Corvettes when I was stock
I am no longer stock, should be more fun, and you all are correct, they are not blazzing fast in a straight line.
But they will hum right along at 130 all day and get better MPG
Totally fun DD IMO

Well, I just home from the shop...
CAI, Eibach suspension kit, front and rear sway bars, EBC rotors, hawk pads, SS brake lines..dyno tune next week...
It is quite peppy, and fun as hell to drive. Surely not as fast in a straight line as the V8's are, but it handles like no other.
edit. new wheels and new Comp R Nitto's

Lots of misinformation going on in here.
I bought my SVT Focus when I was 16....needless to say, its a nice car for a 16 year old, so I loved it.
I ran 15.215 @ 93.25 bone stock. They're not 16 second, high 15, or even mid 15 second cars stock. I'm sure I could have dipped into the 14s that day but I ran out of time at the track. Not blistering fast by any means, but very respectable given the power of the car and its design (to handle).
I put some spray on it and ran 13.2 @ 107 on 225 Kuhmo Ecstas. I would have easily been in the 12s with drag radials. I ran away from bolton LS1s on the street - it did NOT pull like a 107mph car.

I ran away from even bolt-on SVT focus's in my bone stock S197 V6, and completely slaughtered them after I had a few basic bolt-ons of my own.

on a side note, i was at a ford dealership with my buddy today (owns a svt cobra ironically) and the salesman asked me if i wanted to join the ford family and trade my car in on a new mustang.... i politely said no, it doesnt make sense to go smaller in engine. he said yes but the new mustang gt makes 300 rwhp, certainly your car doesnt make that. he then refused to believe that a stock ls1 makes 325 stock and i should be up around the 350 range, and i have walked on the new mustangs.
u should have told him to grab the keys to one of his new stangs and meet u at a stoplight down the road. then said if he can beat u, you will buy a new mustang from him. (you wont be going home in a stang. i can promise u that) also, after you eat him, mention that f-bodies have more power and half the price. also, let him know that ford's v8 4.6 is a closer CID to gm's 4.3 v6 then gm's 5.7 v8. then laugh and leave a set of dark black stripes leading out of his parking lot to remind him
