Same here, which is why I will NEVER own, or drive a Camry/Corolla like the rest of the sheeple (or ANY import nameplate for that matter).

But this;

BTW, the 300zx (slick top) was labeled one of the sexiest cars ever made (top 25) by automobile magazine. To take that into perspective, they labeled the 63 Corvette stingray the #1 sexiest car.

HAS TO BE the ultimate subjective form of 'magazine racing' EVER spewed by ANYONE!!!

Good man, but I think the mid year vettes are still sexy as hell!

Even though the last generation of 300ZXTT's were a knock off of the C4 corvette they were typically 2 seconds slower in the quarter. This can be attributed to excessive weight, turbo lag and the lack of torque. Stock for stock the typical non turbocharged 300 was about as quick as a V6 Camaro or 5.0 Mustang.

The saving grace is they are somewhat of a bargain. Around here you can get a very nice, less than 100k mi 300ZXTT for about 5k.

Hey, you can SCREAM it at the top of your lungs until you're too hoarse to speak if you so please.

But that does not necessarily mean you will earn the 'import respect' or even props you so desperately seek for your Datsun (Nippsan?) on here.

Sorry.

I love when people say, "Well my import will beat you around a road course!"

Good for you!

When done up right I really don't think they are bad looking cars, and I bet there are some out there that can really run. But it's no american muscle

What makes me the most upset is his LT1 buddies talking him up, and talking to me saying how fast their LT1s are. Stock, CAI, catback, wow. Your LT1 isn't fast. I've had 3 of them.

True that. I prolly won't be happy even when I'm done with all the bolt-ons in the next few weeks, I could really use a 150-shot....

LOL.

You think I want your respect, or for you to respect my car; DailyDriver. You're a funny clown.

If anything, I'm more concerned with educating the masses, but I really don't care.

I usually just jump on here to see what Import bashing BS you guys might be spewing.

Have fun being close-minded and biased based solely on what region a car was made, have fun with your canadian muscle car though.

Bye Bye Lame thread, I won't be back in here.

Um... no. Twin Turbo 300ZXs were mid-high 13s cars, and C4s were typically mid 13s as well, with a few going low 13s. There's around a 2 second difference between the NON-turbo Zs and the Corvettes, but definitely not the turbos.

He's actually not to bad for an import guy, not like Chrissy; keeps his facts pretty straight, doesn't get too personal, has a passion for his make (as misguided as we may think it is).

^^^^This is true.
I may have been a little too harsh on him, and gotta admire his enthusiasm for his marque, even though we might not agree with him.

But then again NO ONE was as bad as Pissy Chrissy, save for some of the overly smug, pompous Poopra boyzzz on the old LS1.com kill forums many years ago.

But I also have to ask of him (as I ask of ALL of the biased import fanboyz/defenders on here);
Do you go back onto your import forums and "educate and correct" all of the dumb riceboyzz spewing their incorrect/biased info about domestic nameplates???!!!

DD, that would be interesting to find out. I have noticed that some people who bounce between here and some of the import boards keep their same names and avatars. I know a Supra boards that will shut you down fast if you call into question the their superior car.

Though I'm not a "biased import fanboy/defender," that is exactly what I do on any forum that I'm on or any situation I find myself in. Misinformation is misinformation, no matter what side it comes from.
