Well from what I've seen the 05+ gt's are nothing to be worried about when stock or modded as we had one in the car club until recently and so got many runs with it on the street and track...
This gt was a 5spd auto and mods were 3k stall, 3.73's, nitto's, muffler delete, cold air intake, tb spacer, motion delete plates, and a brentspeed tune and his track times were very consistent 13.2's and 3's with trap speeds maxing out @ 104-5... So ya about bone stock times for an F-body out of a almost full bolt on 05 gt LMFAO!
He began getting so depressed with his results after modding He's in the market for a c6 vette now Lol

Well im not to sure, didnt really pay attention to my speed but we went threw another green light, before we hit that red light. So i guess it would be more like in the 70's to 80's. I had to slow it down quite a bit to get back down to 45 speed limit.

and sorry no ls1 swap. 3v cars love bolt ons. my car ran 13.6 @ 102 as a best stock. with a 1100$ in mods it now traps 9 mph faster consistently and there is still a few more things to wake it up. i honestly expect this car to trap 112 if i had everything 2k has.

You mustang guys aren't gonna find too much correct mustang information on LS1tech just like you won't find much correct LS1 information on a ford site.

Just the way it is. I have yet to lose to an 05+ GT. Actually I've pretty much killed every mustang I've ever raced except for 2 03/04 cobras but they were pullied, tuned, exhaust, ect ect and def low low 12 second cars.

A lot of people on here have a buddy with this and that and have seen this and that and a lot here will claim to have never seen a mustang in the 12s. Its silly really. I can't stand it when people only focus on the car they have and then try to talk **** when they don't know ****.

In the last few weeks I've been considering an 05+ GT as a dd if I can afford it.

thanx justin, i love ls1's i used to have a ws-6 and i know wut there all about. these cars if there not tuned or not tuned rite r slow. an ls1 will make more power easier for sure but with minor bolt ons there pretty equall. i have to give ford credit for quality becuz these cars r very easy to work on and just overall a nicer car than the f-body. but i still give the nod to the motor in the GM's just on the fact they r cheaper to get power out of

I was waiting on 2k05gt to show up. He's run about the best times I've seen for the mods. Looks like those cars respond pretty well to mods and they didn't feel like slouches up top to me. Any stock car is not going to be impressive up top though...unless it's an ls1. Oh yea I'll outrun both of you guys in my "stock" ls1

Well the 05+ GT have a conservative tune stock with the drive by wire. Its pretty slow from what I've read.

Guys with 05+ GTs benefit greatly from a tune even when stock from the the throttle response because the drivebywire can be tuned to open faster/quicker.

No I haven't.

I still poke around at 3.8mustang, mustangworld (been a bit), and svtforums. I hardly if ever long into mw and svtforums.
