I have been seeing this guy in my neighborhood and happened to come out to turn on the highway behind him. I was probably 100 yards behing him coming to the highway off our country raod and see him take out quickly. I decided to see who the king of our neighborhood was and chased. We got going down our country road and he nailed it and pulled, and pulled. My Son was with me and I told him....we don't seem to be gaining on this guy.

The other part of my story did not copy over...here is the rest...
Well, we play a while and finally came up on him on a turn and went around him. He stayed back and then saw him coming up until he got right behind me. At this point we were doing 80. I dropped it in 3rd thinking I would pull him and be done with it....WRONG....he dropped the hammer and came around me like I was sitting still. He flat was toying with my poor CETA and ripped the paint off as he went by. Funny thing is he had his Wife and Daughter in the back seat too...adds insult to injury there.
Follow him out to the intersection of 99 and 59 and pull over...he tells me the car is running 682 RWHP all motor. I told him the GN would be the next vehicle he sees come up behind him! Not even sure whether I can take him in that car honestly.
His car is a blueish/green vert with plates that say NOXCUSE (No Excuses).. well, I have no excuses...purely a good ole fashioned whoopin!

If the numbers he stated anywhere close to correct, and the numbers in your sig are correct for the GN, you will probably get a few bus lengths put on you fairly quickly. He will be making nearly instant power with the twin screw blower "if" it is a KB car, while you will have to spool up. If his car really does have 680hp on motor alone, you're really screwed unless you can put a 175+ shot on the GN.

People street racing at high speeds on the highway with their kids in their car. Stupid.
The "Mystic" colors were only available in 96 and 04. However, cars can be painted, so it could have been a non-Terminator 99 or 01 (there was no 2000 Cobra...except the ultra-rare R).

I tell you what...any unbelievers need to just come around 99 and go south towards Brazos Bend State Park and hang out. He drives up and down there all the time. I did not hear a blower and believe he has all of what he told me. He is definitley in the upper echelon of powerhouses I have seen in a street car. I raced a new 08 Z06 in my car from 70-130 and was only down 1.5 cars. This guy blew by me and put 5-6 cars on me in the same scenario.

I will probably not outrun him in my street mode in the GN
, I will plug my methanol in, and just plan on running some race fuel for a while. This way I can dial her up a bit more on the boost....might make the difference there.
From a dig...not sure in my GN. With my ET Streets the car hooks decently well. I can get a low 11 in that car with those tires....not sure if he would be able to get traction so might be a good run.

Listen to what these guy are saying. There is no 00 cobra other than the Cobra R. And, an 01 cobra is going to look very similar to the 03/04 cobra with the exception of the front facia and a few other minor details.
You sure he was racing? If you were in your T/A with the mods you have listed, you "shouldn't" be anywhere in the ballpark of a C6 Z06 with someone behind the wheel that knows how to drive at all.

The Cobra could have been an 01'...not real familiar with the Cobras and the years produced. He might be a little newer than I am thinking but never heard a blower, even when he and I were at a light together talking after our run.
A stock C6 Z06 runs about 420 to the tires, and my car runs 387 to the tires. The sig needs to be updated as I now have a upgraded cam in the car and has been re-dynotuned. The 1.5 cars seemed about right to me and was about what I expected when I ran the guy recently.
