Default Mach 1 vs C6 Z06

While heading home, ran into a silver C6 Z06 on the beltway, south side. He came up behind me and I was doing about 75mph. He got along side me to pass and I goosed it a little and matched speed with him.

He punched it and I punched it from about 80mph. I was in 4th and just tagged the pedal and starting pulling. By 150mph, I had about 3 cars on him and he shut down.

It's the second run I've had with a C6 Z06 and both times were similar outcomes. Gave the guy a thumbs up when we slowed down and he went passed me, but he didnt look over. I guess he wasn't particularly happy about what had just happened.

Was a fun little roll-race...

Not much, just a little mod motor with a whipple.

So obviously the numbers in ur sig are your old numbers N/A??? Since a stock z runs a second quicker and about 17mph faster in the 1/4 then what you have in ur sig...

The time in my sig was when it was stock with only a K&N and no cats. That was about 3-4 years ago...

It's now a little bit faster...

If you really want to know, you can even find my dyno sheet floating around the network.

Why is everyone getting their panties in a wad? Can't a guy have some fun?

It's interesting when this stuff happens. The guy in the Vette expected to beat this Mustang real good. Remember the Vette driver could of not been that could at shifting...

Give the guy credit were credits due...

he trapped 108 nearly stock. With the sc ect. he has done since then he's probally close to the 130 mph trappspeed mark..Wich is more than enough to pull a C6Z06..The 2007's and 2008's have been trapping in the 122-124 mph range..No were near as fast as the lighter 2006's that were trapping the initial 124-126 numbers...

Dosent take that much to beat one guys...So just give him his propps..My viper was only trapping 122-124 with bolt ons and I could stay right beside them..
Good kill OP and I really give respect to the mach1's..Thats the only car worth talking about when it comes to mustangs

So what are the numbers your car put out? Maybe the Z06 didn't downshift as low as he could because I just don't see 3 carlengths from 80-150 unless you are making 800rwhp. Both a whipple mod motor and a C6 Z06 would get to 150 from 80 in like 3-4 seconds. I'd also like to know what transmission you have.

Very nice kill. I'd love to pull on a C6 Z. How are you doing at the track nowadays? From that avatar pic, it looks pretty it launches pretty hard.

That avatar is when I only had a 150 shot of nitrous. Car went 11.31@120.71mph with about 430rwhp.

I'll let the cat out of the bag--partially. On 15.5psi of boost, the car put down 600rwhp. Im now running 19psi of boost...
