Default 2005 GTO vs 03 Cobra, From a Dig *VIDEO*

03 Cobra = 17 inch street tires. K&N and Exhaust + Mid pipe.

405-415 rwhp.

05 GTO m6. Intake / exhaust, 371 RWHP. I've run some very good times in the car but I don't want to post my times due to some of my street competition lurking about.

I took the leave on him just a bit.... our flagger seemed to take forever.

I was running 17" pirelli street tires in the rear, and 19" street tires in the front. I had to swap to some good street tires because the cobra refused to run me DR for DR.

I think I pulled him pretty good.

Nice kill. Was that him losing traction and spinning? He may not be as high as 405-415 either.

He dyno'ed 404 before he put in his midpipe. That is why I said 405-415.

I spun a bit at first I guess... but he was wheel hopping pretty bad.

Good kill. I thought GTO's were slow pigs. My Vert is just as much a pig though.

I should be 11's bolt ons only soon. Not bad for a slow pig.

Good kill! How do you 60' at the track on DR's? Launch technique? I know you want to keep track #'s hush hush, so you can PM me if you want. I'm trying to sell my dad on some DR's for his 04 GTO

I've cut a 1.79 on ET streets, leaving at 3800 and doing what I call a slip dump. Slip it just enough to get the car moving then pop it out the rest of the way....

It's hell on my stock clutch but I assume its going to go out soon anyway.

Good kill. So you spun and still left him at the line wheel hoping? All 03/04 Cobras should come with some driving/launch lessons, really.

Fixed. Pulley won't fix his wheel hop and spinning.

And 400+ with CAI, midpipe and catback is pretty common

????

Is it installed yet? I assume not. what do you mean by waiting on a tune?

I wouldn't race with what it has now unless I got a dyno to check my A/F.....midpipe, CAI, and catback....a fair amount of airflow increased over stock.

Like GTOs are easier to launch.
