from the looks of the number they have released so far, it will be getting killed as well till people start modding them.

Nice Killl op

Doesn't surprise me. From what I have researched they are a low 13 second car. They are killed by their crappy rear gears of (2.70s I beleive). And hearing him downshift...was him 'throttling' as they are all auto's until next release year.

it was just funny because they thought they had me they were laughing n **** at the light like they drove the baddest **** on the road and they were gonna walk on a full bolt on LS1 come on now

afterwards tho they were so embarrassed they wouldnt line up for a 3rd run and turned around in some random parking lot to cry thier way home

No different than any other LX SRT-8. Just some newbies keeping ESP on and shifting manually. Did it even know your friend was racing it after it gave him a 2 CL lead?

OP: Nice kill, kind of like me picking on a stock LS-1.

I haven't seen one yet though, unfortunately.

Deuuuce- this may sound like a stupid question but is there even much of an aftermarket for the new challengers yet?

the cars just came out, give it some time and i think we might not be in so much of a hurry to hunt these things down. oh nice kill btw.

Not at all. A lot of crossover from the existing SRT-8s. Bolt-ons like CAI and exhaust stuff is pretty standard. The Diablo tuner is the big one for us bolt-on guys and there are quite a few stroker, h/c and more and more FI packages. It's the exact same 6.1 that has been out since mid-'05.

Problem is, it's still heavy and nothing really feasible in terms of gears (yet). The '09 6M gets a 3:90 with LSD though.

Good story. I am sure these str8's will be in the mid 12's before you know it with some bolt-ons.

The s/c version on the Challenger is all I would worry about.

I have dusted a couple of them here in the last few weeks...the dudes driving them thought that they were bad...but they are just like mustangs..very EZ pickings to say the least...just like the clowns riding around the the new chargers that think they are bad azzz...what a joke...
