Have seen a few newer L's with a pulley and a few other things be stupid fast on the low end. They produce sick torque, thats why he probably could have realistically held him off. They get up and go from the line

I rarely call BS, but I'm very tempted to use it on this one. Hey, if you won, nice kill, even if it's a 2001 ZO6, but I'm having a hard time believing the outcome (his nose at your rear wheel 'till 80?!!).

Re: Lghtning vs Z06 Nice kill! I do have my opinions about how it could happen but I have comletely destroyed every Lightning I have raced. You better be putting down close to 500rwhp to keep up. But then again, the weight transfer, the auto tranny helps them lauch really well. I would have thought he would have reeled you in and walked, but who knows. Anyway, nice kill and I think the Lightning is one badass vehicle. I would own one if I could afford it.

Re: Lghtning vs Z06 After my old lightning was modified i told everyone i would beat a 385 Z06....of course everyone called me an ******* and didnt believe me. Low and behold two weeks later in houston on the beltway with everyone watching, i took one till 120. I miss that truck

Re: Lghtning vs Z06 I could see this happening on the street under certain situations. However you meet a Z06 at the track with a good driver and run a full 1/4 I doubt you'll get the win like that. Nice kill though.

I got a intake, mass air, flowmasters , jdm boost bypass, jdm dual program flip chip, brand new F1's gripped well and......cant think... but those mods on my truck open it up crazy ... the chip alone is a dyno'ed 30-40hp to the wheels .... on side 1...

Looks like Blownchevy would have his hands full with you.
You know.....its funny.....I raced a white L before and blew its doors off. Must not have been you.When you are ready for some real mods on the L let me know. I have some nice stuff for the L at the shop. THEN< and only THEN I will have a problem with the L. That is until this 6.0 project is completed...

Re: Lghtning vs Z06 You guys are right: Lightnings are extremely slow and overrated. What are they, like 2 tons? The only way you could get beat by a Lightning is due to you being a bad driver, or the Lightning got a lucky start, right? I mean, they only run 13.5 1/4's stock and with a few mods, they're easily in the 12's and running well over 400 rwhp...weak.
