Lghtning vs Z06 Yo people iam 281's bro and had a nice race the last night. I was driving down valley circle and i was next to this vette for a while... So i see that he is goign on it the freeway so i quickly get over becuase the freeway entrance where we were is a bomb *** race spot. Well he wasnt driving aggressive until we got close to the stop sign... so we get to the stop and i knew he wanted to race... we both took a normall start from the stop and at about 5 mph i punch it then he punches it... i pulled for a second till his nose was at my rear wheel .... and i kwo he was going at it cuz i heard the engine .. then i hear him chirp second and we stay the same distance till 80 then we let off because the onramp narrows bad... but he couldnt pass to get around me ... so i kept driving and then he pulls next to me and screams " that things ****** fast" and then took off and i got off at the next exit.. it musta been the 2001 ZO6 that had like 385 which isnt as fast as the new one but he proabably woulda went by real quick if we went a little longer... i was surprised i held off a ZO6 till 80-90 MPH

Re: Lghtning vs Z06 Only reason I would doubt it is because a Z06 is like 1000 lbs lighter than a Lightning... not trying to be an *******, maybe the guy couldn't drive, though...

Re: Lghtning vs Z06 I got a intake, mass air, flowmasters , jdm boost bypass, jdm dual program flip chip, brand new F1's gripped well and......cant think... but those mods on my truck open it up crazy ... the chip alone is a dyno'ed 30-40hp to the wheels .... on side 1...

Re: Lghtning vs Z06 yeah sounded like he shifted a little ealry ... but you know those stupid old people think it's faster if you dont redline.... on some applications yes .. but not a stock motor really

Looks like Blownchevy would have his hands full with you.
You know.....its funny.....I raced a white L before and blew its doors off. Must not have been you.When you are ready for some real mods on the L let me know. I have some nice stuff for the L at the shop. THEN< and only THEN I will have a problem with the L. That is until this 6.0 project is completed...

I rarely call BS, but I'm very tempted to use it on this one. Hey, if you won, nice kill, even if it's a 2001 ZO6, but I'm having a hard time believing the outcome (his nose at your rear wheel 'till 80?!!).
