On average, I've seen them put down 360-375rwhp on a dynojet. They were very underrated and actually put out something like 420/420 crank HP.

There are dyno results all over SVTp.

Heres a random vid says stock HP was 387 rwhp.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3Goodp43YA

I normally don't post about or even read magizines but they got 381 stock and then started modding.

http://www.mustang50magazine.com/tec...est/index.html

There are also dyno charts on every Mustang board on the internet. I have seen anywhere from 350-390 stock. I remember seeing one that only got 333 to the tire, that engine didn't live much longer after the dyno run though.

I wish I still had my dyno files for ya. My 03' made 383.6 bone stock and 424.2 with CAI and CB only. It made 477.8 with the addition of 2.8 pulley and tune with the factory MAF, spiking the voltage at 5800 RPM. It would've made close to 495 with a Mafia or SCT2400, which it got later. This was on a Dynojet at Meridian Performance in Bellingham WA. These were corrected numbers. Yes, this particular Cobra was a bit of a freak, even for Cobras. My racing shift point was 7K RPM without ever lifting the throttle. Just jab the clutch and grab the next gear, AFTER the shifter and quadrant mods.

How much do I think they make stock? I know exactly what they
make stock. Mine made 386rwhp. However, the majority are in the
360rwhp range.

The question is...do you know anything about these cars?
It doesn't sounds like it. The vid of you in your sig learning how
to launch doesn't help your argument.

How does that 3.90 rear end work out for you? It seems like it would be a bit steep especially when you hit the spray.

It's perfect on a 28" tire. It's too tall of a gear IMO for a 26" tire.
I honestly think I'm going to switch back to the stock 3.55.

Unit why did you wait to do the headers? 620 through stock manifolds is nothing to sneeze at (hell its actually damn impressive) but I would think it would be a pretty large hinderence to the engines ability to get rid of the spent gases. Just curious since obviously you car puts down some good power and I'm guessing runs some good times at the track(I've not looked for a slip and I can't remember seeing one).

The truth? Too much $$$ for very little gain. I'll get custom Kooks headers
and they will be around $1,500. Also, my current x-pipe is not a bolt
on to the headers, which means that's more $$$ down the drain.
The x-pipe I have now was pricey. It's been a while, but I think it
was $600?

You're 100% correct though. I need headers to help get the heat out
of the engine. Headers create a torque loss in these cars under
600rwhp. I'll be way over that in a just a few days so it's time for
the headers now.

The car does pretty well at the track. It's undergoing a little surgery
now so we'll see what it runs when it's done. If I were to bench race
and take a guess, I'd say it's going to run 14.0@143mph until I get
a 28" slick out back.

Thats understandable and makes sense. I can imagine headers are a pain in the *** to make for those cars since there isn't, or doesn't seem to be, much room. If you don't mind me asking what is the goal for HP. The 14.0 at 143 cracked me up. Good luck with your new setup.

Won't the spray make up for the low end the long tubes take away. I haven't been able to run mine since the Procharger. I'm worried the 4.10's are too low for my auto. I'm worried about trapping over redlline. We will see.

Don't the 4.10's for an auto behave like 4.30's for a manual?

ARH makes a great header for our cars. also from what i hear you can sneak the trans out without having to losen the headers.
