Default 2003 svt cobra vs ls1 formula

I raced my friends cobra from 40 to 130 on the highway,
I won the the race by fender!! Hes mods are Borla cat-back exhaust
cold air induction, with nittos, no pulley swap. My car is a 1999 firebird
formula, my mods are slp loudmouth 1 ls6 intake manifold slp ram air, flo pack,
and my car was tuned I making 327 at the wheel and 343 ft tq. He told hes car was making 405 at the wheels, which seemed high to me with out a pulley swap.
I had the led the hole time but it was close! HE Says he will be doing pulley In
the next several weeks! then he will be at 450 at the wheels. I now when he does that he will kick my ***!

Sounds like a good run! Your buddy might need the driver mod tho but a win is a win.

His numbers with just cai/catback is normal. The '03-04 Cobra's came bottled up from the factory and of course FI cars are more responsive to cai/catback mods than N/A.

Good kill! With his mods, those numbers are a little low. An 03-04 Cobra with intake and catback should dyno in the 420's on a DynoJet.

Nice kill! Unexpected kills are the best.

His numbers sound accurate to me. A pulley and supporting mods will put him in the 460 range and you're gonna need a strong cam, gear, and tires to keep up (with the rest of the bolt-ons), and even then you may have trouble unless he's a bad driver.

Mike991 - Good kill on the Cobra.

Yep...just keep thinking that. The good news for us poor drivers
is that our cars trap in the 1/8th what yours does in the 1/4...so
we have a lot of time to miss gears, play with the radio, eat a
cheeseburger, etc and still put a few cars on good fbody drivers.

I'm not even sure what you know about driving. Didn't you just
make your first 11 second pass recently...and with a 4L60E?
Yeah, that takes a tremendous amount of skill. Great job.
