Good kill. The GT500 isn't all that impressive. What is the deal with them? I've not had the opportunity to see one at the track but what I've seen (online) they are slow for the HP level. Maybe the cars that have good drivers haven't posted their slips so the info is skewed by shitty drivers.

Trust me stock GT500's are slow. I used to work for a Ford dealer and drove the first one to come in. I had a guy tell me I don't know why you bought that Vette when you could have bought a GT500. I smiled and told him I really like slow cars...lol. I won't even race GT500's any more...unless I can tell its modified...

At 20mph on the stock F1's w/3.73 gears, I'm pretty sure your buddy was spinning the heck out of his tires, too. Hard to tell from the video.
well with getting new rims, it would seem that buying a set of nitto's for the rear would have helped out. the last time i was at the track in Noble, Ok a GT 500 was there and the driver couldn't get out of the 13's. I remember him runnin a 14.2@110 him and his viper buddy. if you can afford that car one can afford nitto's.
good kill OP

how many miles did it have on it?

gt500s can be quick in the right hands, look what evolution performance has done or look at the last muscle mustangs.

No, this is a LSx forum...and you don't have one. So, by your logic you also should shut your ******* mouth.

I know they can be quick, but stock especially new they are SLLLLOOWWW. They do open up after break in miles, and I am well versed in how much is on the table. IMO I consider my car which is a 10 second " capable " car slow. It must be all the time spent in the motor city, lol. Now 9's in street trim is what I consider fast....

Well let me go find a guy that is just learning to drive a stick in his new Z06 and get him to race me, and then post about my kill . Seriously people, I always say "good kill" unless they're being ********. But if they shouldn't have won I'm gonna say something. I'm aware that "anything can happen on the street," but sometimes you just can't except the same results twice.
