I got beat Last night i was just cruising around and went to hang out at a local spot. When I got there a friend came up and told me to run this civic. So im thinking 
then I go over and look at the car, It has no front bumper and a huge intercooler, but we went anyway. We got out on a highway and went from a 50 roll, the turbo was loud as poo. Bottom line he pulled about a car on me when I was spraying. I went back to talk to him turns out he had a B18 with a built bottom end pushing 25psi with a T3/T4 turbo, it was clean too, very tasteful no stickers or nuthin 
It hurt my poor T/A's feelings. I guess im going to have to go for a cam and a 150 shot now

Re: I got beat Nice death man....well not really. I know how much this sucks because I have run into a similarly built one and it spanked me. Cool guy though. Anyway, run the guy from a dead stop next time. They just don't go. They have to get the revs so high to get boost and if they engage the clutch, they get bog or spin...ain't no in between. Anyway, don't let it bother you too much. That Honda is a purpose built 50mph roll on racer. That is the only way it will go. Your car is much more capable of doing more things...like being fun to drive.

Re: I got beat Yea i asked him if he wanted to go from a light .. he didnt want no part in that. So i guess he can dish it but cant take it. Yea but I'm not too sad about it. Alwayz gonna be a faster car somewhere

Any Civic loss has got to hurt (even if you say you shrugged it off). Anyhow, it's bound to happen, and as FLYNLO stated, it's a purpose built 50 punch racer. If you invested as much time, effort and $$$ into your ride, it would be a 9 second car.

Re: I got beat There are turbo civic pushing in access of 40 psi of boost(not on the street). But with the right combination and the right ductile iron sleeving, it is possible to make them live through countless of 30psi runs.
To give you an example. My friend has a turbo integra(fully built), and has run his car for over 3 years at multiple 25-30 psi runs witout any problems besides headgaskets.
The best thing about turbos, you don't have to run the same psi all day long.

Re: I got beat camaro Kid. Going from a dig doesn't mean anything. There are more excuses from a dig than there would be from a punch. Doing a 30 or 40 punch would clearly show who had more power. Have you ever been in a front wheel drive car, that is pushing in excess of 400hp? Anyway, they where on the freeway so it would pretty dumb to stop in the middle of it.

Re: I got beat Last time I rode in a turbo front wheel drive car, during brunouts, the jolts would knock the wiper lever down. Result: winshield wiper blade choreographed, burnout humiliation. The guys at the staging area would laugh their asses off.

Re: I got beat I admitt, I would never own a front wheel drive car. I never encounter anything like that. What do camaro usually pull out of the 60ft times on street tires? I know I can usually pull 1.8 or so with a nice launch.
