I never get tired of looking at that S197

What is this world coming too why 'bone stock' refers to a car with mods? I have to agree that teh New edge GTs aren't anything special by comparison what most of us on here drive, but for a daily driver with some Umph, and potential they aren't bad. THey will still take out most cars on teh street (all cars considering).
Not pickin a fight. Im done with that in here and i apologize to everyone for my ignorance and unclear statements. But yes my car is BONE STOCK. GU5 is a code for 3.23's from the factory. LS6 intake mani comes on 01-02 LS1's. TCI linelock? I only use that for burn outs cuz i bought the car with it. Other than those, if you can actually call those mods since they are from the factory, i am stock. Not proud of it, but yes stock!

And Neither am I. Sorry for my ignorance as well, but as I knew it not all 01-02s came with the LS6 manifold. And I'm just not used to seeing people list stock stuff in their sig. I did not know that GU5 was the code for 3.23s, so that is my ignorance (learn something new everyday).

As I have said before I am here to teach and to learn. I hope I did that in this thread at one point or another...probably not though.

Yea, I read somewhere that after 2000, many F-bodies came with LS6 blocks or some **** like that.

They're still slow though.

How are the LS6 blocks any different? Stronger, lighter, what?

I think the oil and coolant passages are designed better... not a hundred percent sure though.

The block has better oiling. The aren't lighter or stronger, a lot of shops won't resleeve a LS6 block.

One of my friends had a LS6 block resleeved around here in Greenville, SC and they let the sleeve cool down too fast and cracked a water jacket.

My only point was I recalled not all of them got LS6 blocks and/or manifolds from the factory. I knew they were available, I just thought it was a '50/50' kind of a thing.

Thanks for the info though.
