6.3 AMG Sedan VS 02 CETA
Came across a guy running a beatiful white AMG sedan on Hwy 6 today and pulled up beside him at the light. Usually these folks arent much into racing but this guy revs at me.....we took off from a 10 roll and dang those cars motivate. We were very close all the way to the end of 2nd where i started pulling. Got it into third about 5 seconds and had him by 1.5 cars still pulling. Shut it down at 100-105 and had him by 2.5 cars.
I am normally not a big import advocate but those things are sweet.

This car was an E63 I believe. I knew they were fast but was thinking 14'sih in the 1/4. My car is running a bit more to the wheels now than my sig shows and should do a real low 12 or possibly high 11 now. I really had to tach it up to get my pull started as he was neck and neck there for a bit. I was on a good road so did not spin but just a bit or it might have been a bit different story. Seems these guys do 13's out of the box.

According to the websites, the 2007-2008 E63s are a 6.2L rated 507/465. If it was one of these years, there's no reason that thing is not a strong low 12 second car with a decent driver, regardless of the weight. For some reason, those AMGs don't seem to be affected too poorly by their excessive weight like a GT500 or something similar. They still trap right on or even high for their rated hp.
EDIT: And the 2006 is a 6.3L rated at 514hp??? What the hell? Why would they drop engine size and hp for the newer model? Something is not right with these websites. Damn.

I know the CLS/E/S 63 sedans are all in the low 12's. I'd sell a kidney for the down payment $$ for a white CLS-63 AMG. Its one of the most beautiful 4-door cars in the world. Hell, It's just one of the most beautiful CARS in the world.

the e55 is s s/c 5.5 v8 makeing 469hp. the e63 is a n/a 6.2 makeing 507 hp.
those cars are good for real low 12's. the e63 is just barely faster then the s/c e55. my step dad had a 04 e55 and that car was fast! i have a 03 e500 benz that puts out 306 hp and 339 ft lb of tq and it is a quick car is ran a 14.2 in the 1/4 at a 100mph and i launched soft so i think i could of got it down the a 14 flat. they do make a amg65 in the big body s class.cl big 2 door and the sl65 and they are a twin turbo v12 makeing 607 hp i belive.
