Default Stock 2008 Corvette vs. Modded Neon dumdumdumdumdum

Coming home from the track tonight, I had the opportunity to stretch out the vette's legs. I went past a modded Neon dumdumdumdumdum and not much happened but then a few minutes later, I see him coming hard at me. I down shifted to
3rd, then hit 4th and quickly crept on 150 mph. He was hanging better than I would have thought till 150 but when I shifted to 5th and the speedo touched 180, I could barely see his headlights. The most amazing thing was how stable the vette was at that speed. It felt like I was going 70 mph

You ran 118 in a stock corvette? That's moving. They only run 107mph or so here. Unless that's a Z06...

Not a Z06. Bone stock 2008. 430 hp and 3200 lbs goes a long way.

My dumdumdumdum walked a a C6 pretty good in just the couple of gears we ran. They can be quick. It made 375 whp and weighed 2900 pounds at low boost.

These cars can be made to go real fast, no doubt. Of course, this statement applies to pretty much all cars.

LOL, should have slowed down and actually raced him. I'm pretty sure than SRT_4's can't hit 180mph.

Great times for your car btw!

How the hell did you trap 110 in a bone stock 2001 Z28??? Do you race at God's own strip?

Those LS3s are sick. I pulled a bit on an A6 from 60-140, but it sounds like the M6s pull a little harder up top. I'd definitely love to get some good runs in with one.

What planet do you live in that c6's run 107? Cause let me know so I will take my trans am and go run them since... I run 106-108 so I guess I might even take a stock one right? LOL

3075ft, but density altitudes are generally well over 4000ft. LS1s are high 13s low 14s cars here with the altitude and temps. C6s are mid 13s and C6 Z06s are mid/low 12s. My skittle runs mid teens with a best ET of 12.9 and best mph of 117 (FWD sucks). From a roll it's wicked here at altitude. It's just my beater though.

Nope. Here, your car is a 14 second beast.

Dragway 42 is definitely not owned by God, ask anyone from around here. My Z was a stripper model. I never weighed it but i know that it was very light. It was also built on a wed lol.

Strippers rule! I'm talking about cars of course. I'm just jealous. My '02 SS with cam/headers/exhaust/gears/etc. only ran 13.2 @ 108 here.

There's quite a few Evo guys that run at 42. They always complain about the prep, but say they're pretty lenient on tech there so that's where they usually go.
