Couple runs with another f-body
So I went to our local f-body meet tonight, and asked my buddy if he wanted to go cruising afterwards, and he agreed. After a little while of driving through Savannah, we jumped onto I-95 and did a couple of runs. My mods are in sig, and he has a '00 Z-28 with similar mods plus a baby cam (unknown specs) and a diablo tune. He is also an M6.
1st run-35-120. I got the slight jump and he spun a little. I started in 2nd gear at 3800 rpms. We went neck and neck up to 120. I mean, we were window to window the whole time and both of us were shifting like there was no tomorrow. Also, he had a passenger who weighed maybe 250 lbs.
2nd run-35-130. This time I had the passenger. Neither of us spun badly and he jumped out and had about a 1 1/2 car lead when we shut it down. My shifts were not quite as fast as his, but still trying to gain more confidence in shifting my car. The Pro 5.0 is probably the best thing I have bought for my car!
We ran two more times with the same results of the second race. We didn't go from a dig because to be frank, I cannot launch my car for crap and he would have crushed me on that. Still trying to perfect my laund technique. Overall though, I had a great deal of fun and enjoyed it very much, even though I got beat. I don't care about winning when it is with friends, it's all about having a great time.
We saw a couple of terminators also, and I wish I could have raced one of them, even though I would have lost. It's all good. Thanks for reading

We definantly will need to race when I come back to Nebraska. Only thing is, it might be another year before I go back there. I am trying to save up my leave days to get out of the Army before I get stop lossed for a 3rd deployment next year.
